Birds, geese, ducks are easy. When a bird tweets, you tweet right back. And before you know it, you find yourself in a conversation. Ditto with geese - just mimic the sound they make - they get confused.

Squirrels are the best - if you watch them, they freeze - as if soomehow that will make them disappear from your gaze. In the fall, they are busy gathering leaves from the street and filling their litttle "cave" on a tree. So they are busily going back and forth. Watching them eat nuts can never be tiring.
