ISLAMABAD: Dr Arsalan Iftikhar has submitted his initial statement in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) in the alleged graft case and rejected all allegations leveled against him by the real estate tycoon and Bahria Town chief Malik Riaz, Geo News reported Saturday.
In his five-pager statement, Arsalan rejected all the accusations against him by the media and said that he did not meet with Malik Riaz's son-in-law for any business deal.
He said that everything was only publicized through media but not presented in the court. He said that he runs his own business and submits his income tax return regularly.
Arsalan, in his statement, stated that he went on London tour in 2009 along with his family and stayed in a flat on his own expenses. Similarly, he again visited London in 2010 and 2011.
It is pertinent to mention that the SC had taken a suo moto notice after reports circulated in the electronic and social media about Arsalan Iftikhar allegedly receiving crores of rupees from the Bahria Town management under different pretexts in order to influence the SC in favour of Bahria Town cases pending with the apex court.
It was reported that Malik Riaz paid between Rs300-400 million to Dr Arsalan and also sponsored his foreign visits.

Sethi Gate? | Pakistan Politics
The Family Gate scandal seems like a flood gate of scandals, where top power brokers including army, bureaucrats, politicians and media are believed to be heavily involved.
One of the influential players from media community, Najam Sethi is believed to be the part of this flood gate. As Dawn TV anchor Talat Hussain recently alleged in this talk show that Najam Sethi’s ‘chiRya’ (inside information source) is actually Malik Riaz.
Later Najam Sethi in his talk show criticized Talat and that was replied by Talat in his talk show by declaring all his assets and chanllenging Sethi to do that. Now as per some documents, Sethi owns properties in US that are likely to be declared or exposed.
Some people, through social media , even has alleaged that Sethi recieved all these properties as benfits from his ‘Chirya’ aka Malik Riaz.
There are also reports that Najam Sethi , as a close aide of Malik Riaz had witnessed all evidence related to scandal against Arsalan Iftikhar and that he is the one who helped Malik Riaz to cut a deal wtth some journalist in Western Media to publish all the evidence and other parts of the story that have not been disclosed in Pakistani media.

**Terming media reports as “made up”, British journalist Christina Lamb denied having contacted anyone regarding the financial impropriety case against Dr Arslan Iftikhar, the son of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chauhdry.

Earlier, media reports had claimed that the chief of Bahria Town, Malik Riaz, had approached Lamb — the Washington bureau chief of*Sunday Times – *to “break the news” about the scandal when the chief justice was scheduled to come to receive the International Jurists Award – 2012.
The reports further claimed that this move was planned to “bring a bad name” to the chief justice and might also force him to resign.
However, in her tweet on Sunday, she said:

Following media reports that Dr Arsalan had received between Rs300 and Rs400 million from Riaz to influence judicial proceedings, the chief justice had taken a suo motu notice and had summoned him and Bahria Town’s chief.
Malik Riaz, however, did not appear before the court and a personal staff officer had informed the court that he was in the United Kingdom, undergoing medical treatment.

^ I have a feeling that he might say that he has not shown any proofs to anyone and there's nothing in the case (journalists and media would be questioned after that), as if the case is probed fully it will open the flood gates and drown many with him.

I have the same feeling and it is further strengthen by the claim made by Arslan Iftikhar, but would SC let it do so easily???
I guess Malik Riaz is going to loose big time and name of Bahria Town has been tainted, the scar left by this is going to haunt anyone with Malik Riaz as well...
and this poise a question to the anchors likes of Hamid Mir and Kamran Khan and Ansar Abbasi, how did they speak of such sensitive thing without having a single piece of proves in their hand, it may sound harsh but they should be questioned and should be sentenced for spreading the lies.. and if nothing comes out, Malik Riaz and Arslan Iftikhar reserves the right to claim defamation from these journalists...

^ DHA and Bahria (Both military names) have been tainted as well, the military should see as to how the names of these institutes were allowed to be used by private individuals to fool the masses. DHA was one name that people could close their eyes and purchase plots, now whats the difference between DHA and the other fraud societies?

Some one some how put back the army in beraks. And CJ in the court room. Let's people decide what they want. This triangle war between army/justice/politicians throwing Pakistan into a really danger. These three even didn't noticed yet who are our enemies inside and out and awam is so behis don't know yet what they looking for. Afrstafri ka Alam hai.

For long 60+ years, the alliance between the three have made our lives miserable, the only way to get heard was either go out and kill everyone in the name of religion or skin color or language or just join them.. now first time that nexus is broken, now these three are not on same page anymore! it will only bring good and nothing else...

Alliance between two actually .Politicians were appearing as Guest artists . Third one ally is Media now .

Ansar Abbasi is a liar, the whole nation is liar, the only beacon of truth and honesty in the nation is Mushy & Altaf ( ofcorse the army generals are also the most patriotic and honest person found in the universe... and Malik Riaz is nothing almost a prophet..everyone else is a liar!!! and CJ is the biggest fraud and traitor and everything bad on the planet earth... Now did i miss anything?
