we have some EXTREMELY VERY VERY VERY fair skin people around with rosy cheeks and all that and they do not look like DESI WOW.

We, Pakistanis are racist- whether we like it or not! The reason we dumped Bangladeshis and want Kashmirs desperately is simple- Kashmiris are way gora and handsome (by Pakistani definition). Bangladeshis tend to dark, short, and plump.. useless for us Pakistanis.. we are obsessed with the gora skin.. You see Pakistanis in the west married to a gori who no normal gora/kala would have married. In Pakistanis they get a loyal, polite, husband and Pakistani fulfill their dream of being married to a gori who can't lose her fairness despite the fact she might be the bottom of the barrel:p

ummm no, not all bollywood actresses are dark. There's a nice range of white to brown in bollywood so I really wouldn't generalize if I were you.

What is up with all the generalizations here? Most bollywood actresses are south Indian??? Since when? Oh man, i'm sure you've never been to India so it's not necessary to speak so confidently on things you don't really know much about.
I think you should get your facts straight first.
there are quite a few naturally fair complexioned actresses but there are also some brown complexioned ones but the most important thing of all is that most of these actresses have really beautiful features that really stand out, being fair or brown.

sexiest woman voted in india is bipasha basu (Dark skinned). fair skinned yana gupta and preity zinta lag far behind ash and bipasha when it comes to appeal.
other 'desirable' women are jessical alba and angelina jolie. jessica alba is medium skinned and angelina is also medium skinned.
iraj mansoor and iffat rahim and ZQ are not fair skinned. a majority of paki models arent.
most of our miss worlds have been dark skinned.
cuz there's a reason nicole kidman fit the role in "the others" so well.

^it's interesting you mentioned nicole kidman:))....I had this really scary ghost nightmare one time and the ghost looked just like Nicole Kidman. I woke up so freaked out. Her features are pretty but i'll forever think of her as the ghost from my nightmare:(

Pakistani models arent fair skinned? The ones that go to Bollywood are naturally fair skinned. Zeba Bakhtiar is one.
India Miss Worlds (like some others perhaps) havent been dark skinned. Aishwarya Rai fixes her face like Michael Jackson. It's skin cremes, nose jobs and God knows what else.
Th average Bollywood celeb looks nothing like the average Indian.

I'm not really talking about the look, just the skin colour and things like eye colour generally. I dont know that much about the models I must confess. I'm pretty sure Zeba Bakhtiar is more or less natural, and I'm pretty sure Aishwarya Rai would look like Atal Vajpayee if she didnt have so much cosmetic surgery done.
PS Aishwarya Rai looks light skinned in her pics to me. Lara Dutta looks lighter than the average Indian to me.

Sometimes when i am walking around, people ask me what planet I'm from. Sometimes they say are you from Jupiter, then I get angry, because in Jupiter everyone has purple hats, I've burnt all my pink/fuisia hats now.. but when people say, are you from Pluto, I get so happy because everyone knows that people from Pluto are the best in the world. I think it is my dazed expression that makes them think i am from Pluto, so now I don't wear my contact lenses and sometimes even walk into things on purpose and poke myself in the eye to give myself an authentic confused expression -with the extra whince that adds those fabulous wrinkles.
The most best thing however is that noone actually believes I was born here. On earth. Which is good, because all the idiots are born here apparantly. All complex ridden and the funniest thing is, they never seem to get bored of the same topics...

^ So right.. that would have made everyone equal.. And even theories like Pakistanis Vs. Indians difference is same as gora Vs Kala (based on the theory that Pakistanis are fairest among south asians) would have been laid to rest.

yea this topic has been discussed to death but no matter what the topic is it's interesting how it always comes down to how Pakistanis are much better looking than Indians and how Pakistanis are 500 times fairer than Indians and how....oh well i'm tired of all of this.

I'm not racist to anyone as I've friends from every race but sexually speaking I don't find either extreme attractive when it comes to complexion, very very very rarely does a White/Caucasian or Black/Negro do it for me, on the rare occasion you get Pathans (and I'm a Pathan myself) of the former extreme or South Indians of the latter then they don't do it for me either.
All the in between colors are tasty (regardless of whether it's light brown or creamy) such as Asians in general (Desis, Arabs, Chinese, Persians, Jews, Turks), Mediterraneans, some East Europeans, Black-White hybrids, South/Central Americans and North Africans.
At the end of the day each to their own, we all have our likes and dislikes, it's like preferring a brunette to a blonde or black eyes to blue eyes, it's all good as long as we don't start going to dangerous extremes to change ourselves or look down on others who dont fit our personal opnion of beautiful.
