And this is where we differ. You assume that the people you know represent the majority of Pakistanis. I know of no Pakistani that goes round saying they're Italian (some Pakistanis might say they're Italian as a joke to see the reaction, just as many 5ft 2" Indians sometimes say they're Pathans).
The important point I'm making about you is this. You seem to assume that Pakistanis take tremendous joy at being called Italian or Spanish, yet I disagree that it is joy or wanting to be Italian etc. It is more a source of amusement at how wrong, how continentally wrong those people are that is funny. Your assumption that Pakistanis want to be Italian I suspect is based off your own wanting to be Italian - That is why you assume others want to be Italian. Why else would you want to do your Bengali test on the girl as you claim to have done? It was just to prove your own prejudgement was correct, when there could be many other reasons.

And as for your little attack...quite simply it is harder to look down at other people when you have diversity in your own family...you wouldnt have a mixed race black boy joining the black panther movement would you...its just common sense..

You're taking one extreme example (Black Panthers) and trying to apply it to today. When the Black Panthers were active there were hardly any mixed races in America. Just because someone marries into a multi racial family does not mean that those people are more open minded or less racist. There was a case of a white woman in the UK, who had mixed race kids and voted BNP.
I could take the example, that all anti-racism laws have been passed by pure white people, none by mixed race. That is the equivalent of your Black Panther example.
Pakistani's like fair skin because it is exotic to them. Nowadays in western countries....i've notice the trend has changed among the younger generations. They seem to prefer a more tanned ...dusky looking girl...epsecially among the brits (from what ive been told).
Another thing.....race has nothing to do with features. I have seen so many south Indian women that have the most incredible features. They look like they are black because of their skin color but they have such big eyes and nice noses etc.
Fair skin isnt exotic to many Pathans who have white skin and European features. This fair skin thing comes from somewhere in India and is provided by Bollywood perhaps.

i wasnt talking about their color...was specially talking about how south indians have nice features (nose, eyes, hair etc) point being not all fair skinned girls have nice features as mentioned by the original poster.
they only look light because they have makeup caked on. most of the actresses are from south india...and its very rare to find a light skinned south indian. anyway...who cares!:)
