Last summer when I went to Paris in the summer they had sales all over the place. There was a department store that I went to that had tons of designer shoes all on sale! They had sales on Jimmy choos too. I was shocked since I haven't seen really nice designer shoes on sales anywhere else before.

Your wedding is the one time you can really 'justify' spending so much so, if your budget allows go for it and as others have said you can get them a little cheaper in the sales.
I got a few pairs for my events and I have to say I got a lot of wear out of them. it also stops me from buying randomly for dressy occasions and i think in the long run I will save money as i haven't bought any dressy sandals (for asian clothes) since! I just work around what I have already :)

Mmmmm i think i want to spend the money on the shoes...mainly becos ive lived in my flats it would be a nice treat and some comfort.....not sure if i would go for either of those brands in particular but i was in a store in Dubai i think it was Gina and i fell in love with this crystal encrusted shoe i must have!! :p

Then again, I'd only spend that much on a pair of shoes if I knew I'd get a lot of use out of them. So, I personally wouldn't spend crazy amounts on my wedding shoes because I'd probably only wear them the once.

If I had the money, I would def buy them. By having money here means not having to save up for it for more than 2-3 months max.
Basically if I lead that kind of a lifestyle, wherein I would not giving up a whole lot just to buy the shoes. And of course it also means that I move around in circles where I have a chance to wear these shoes again. No point in wearing these shoes to paindu/desi events where no one is gonna appreciate it. Here in Bahrain, if I wore these shoes to any of my gujju events / wedding, they would never even know or appreciate it.
So if its not really pinching you in terms of $$$ and you can still afford a great wedding dress and honeymoon etc etc along with those shoes, don't waste time and go ahead !! Don't forget to jump up and down and scream when u buy them !!! if not for your wedding day then for what other occasion can you justify buying them. Yes there are a lot of unfortunate people. But everyone works hard for their money. They have a right to spend it.

Why does it matter if people appreciate the fact that you just spent 2000 pounds on a pair of shoes? Did you buy them because you liked them and wanted to treat yourself with your hard-earned money or did you buy them just to make a point to people?

Yes but when its appreciated by others its adds 440 watts to it. Why do people buy anything?? a) to please themselves and to share / show it off (silently , not catching each passer by to let him or her know) as well. That's the whole point. Why do people buy anything branded/designer/expensive/pretty. Not so no one else is gonna not appreciate it. In that case, nobody would have a blog, people want to share the likes / ideas/ purchases etc etc with others
Its not like your doing charity that no one needs to know about it.

My sister bought some Choos for her wedding day and they do look really nice. I wouldn't buy loads, I guess for a wedding if you're spending the money yourself then you don't need to justify it to other people.

I'd go for Choos... you'd get a lot more wear out of them with desi clothes in the long run. CLs you could too but I have a soft spot for Choos.

Definitely Jimmy Choo's. I have a few pairs, and they're very comfy. I also think Choo's are a lot classier than Louboutins. Well that's just my personal opinion lol

I wore a pair for my nikaah/registry and i have another pair for the baraat/valima! They really do stand out and make a difference! Worth the investment.!
