Right , So two of my mates and me , we have been going crazy over finding the alternatives for the expensive brands … and I thought it would be good to seek your opinion as well ..
Expensive Brand : NARS Orgasm and Super Orgasm Blush
Alternative option: Bourjois Rose d’or ( Is shimmery and blends very well )
Bourjois Lilas D’or is an even softer pink .
Expensive Brand : MAC Pigments
Alternative option : Barry M dazzle dusts .. they are super pigmented , have an excellent shimmer and have excellent stay power.
We are now looking for alternatives for the NARS albatross highlighter .. If anyone knows any … We have found out a trick way of obtaining quite similar sheen to Albatross , but I think we need to still dig to get to that right alternative product.
Please share yours with us and let me know of your thoughts to the above alternatives …

you can google for 'dupes' like 'nars orgasm dupe' - that should give you back a bunch of reviews etc for cheaper equivalent products.
to be honest though, in the end i always ending up preferring the original product so i've stopped wasting my money on the cheaper stuff. it's better to have a smaller collection of high quality stuff that will last (like nars blushes, they are very very pigmented) and that you can mix around. and don't spend too much on products on you might only use on the odd occassion, things like glitter eyeliners perhaps.
also, if you have a MAC pro store anywhere near you, you can buy the shadows without the plastic casing to fit into palettes. a pan shadow only costs £7.50 and a 15pan palette costs £10.
best thing for an eye base is a MAC paint (usually bare canvas) with UDPP on top (usually just needed in the crease but depends how oily your eyes are). if i just had to go with 1 of the two though, it would be MAC paint, eyeshadows glide on easily and the colour is much stronger, they also help keep if from disappearing for quite a long time. UDPP is more for if you want really long wear as well (12+hours).

I love Barry M, cheap and cheerful and sooooo many colours to choose from :)
for eyeshadow primer look for De-crease by loreal, i heard really good reviews and people compared it to urban decay's primer potion. you can also use NYX's jumbo eye color pencil they are 2.99 or around it.
