Because people look up to the english language, and speaking english (including swearing) is considered modern/cool/educated.

Its ok to use such language for looking cool / modern, but how using abusive language (in any language) is considered a sign of being educated? I think people do feel awkward while using English gaali before English speaking people, as they feel awkward for uttering desi gaali before desi people.

I don’t think they feel awkward. The F-word is almost ingrained in every sentence nowadays.
As for desi they dont feel awkward at all using the desi equivalent of the F-word :halo:

that is dhoti, i think. Senior thackrey, was cartoonist before he was politician, he started with "Bajoa pungi, bhagao lungi", an anti south Indian slogan. But it is Indian way of dealing crisis, it is dealt in just plain words, so this country's biggest production after independence is politicians and speeches. Some party workers take their work seriously, as profession, as they have career to build, general public goes to work, and then in Indian way, our attention shift from one entertaining drama to another :D

What I have heard, that, he is the only anti-taliban party head of Pakistan,who speaks against radicalization of his country. Lalu's cadres are Yadavs in general, the ordinary peasant class, while Altaf's cadres are of, one of the most educated communities of his nation, this puts altaf in much higher place than lalu, as Lalu's cadres expect just a little political freedom, but people of Altaf might be expecting more than just little political freedom from him :)
