To be honest, I prefer the first one - simple is good. Especially when you will be wearing this ring every day for the rest of your life. My engagement ring is a twist style with 3 diamonds - I have very skinny long fingers on a very small hand so needed something that will fill up my finger more. Will post pics when I get to 25 posts - still a new user!

Yeah that is true. But i cant seem to find a plain one that i like enough.
I've heard that platinum isn't very durable...it gets scratched very easily. I do prefer the look of platinum over white gold but don't think it's practical for everyday use.
Mine was a very simple design I chose from TanishQ...cant find it on their website. Its not huge or ostentatious at all. Im going to get a bridal set later because I cant have a wedding band with this. Im going to take pics and post them.
All these seem pretty small for thier prices..
I say shop around to private stores and see if you a friend knows a diamond dealer.
