Eid Milad

Re: Eid Milad

Already a significant number of people consider Barelvis as mushriqs. They are next in line to be declared as kafirs.

Re: Eid Milad

and brelvis call others Gustakh e Rasool
few “naats” implies that those are shaitan who dont celebrate birth.

Re: Eid Milad

If you look at past it was never like it is today. That’s why such inventions are prohibited in Islam. Things have no authenticity, if allowed to perform, will obviously go worse any day as people will continue recreating.

Re: Eid Milad

People who create models of Ka'bah and Roza e Rasool and other stuff to celebrate alongside the road may be an extreme for some people. In next generation it will become a middle path when some will invent a model of 'santa claus' besides the models of Ka'bah and Roza e Rasool. Just because you say you are on a middle path or middle path is right does make it all good.

Re: Eid Milad

I don't support fatwas regardless of who issues it, it has brought no good to the religion.

Re: Eid Milad

The first video explains why it is needed.

Re: Eid Milad

Criteria ... Brother ajazali ... The key is not what is considered extreme ... The key is why it is considered extreme ... And your answer lies in criteria ... When you can establish the criteria of extreme and analyse it for internal consistency then you will establish the basis for middle path ... Otherwise it is just opinion.

Re: Eid Milad

yes 'extreme' is an opinion. there is nothing like extreme or moderate in religion. only right and wrong, allowed or not allowed.

how do you derive the middle path, by looking at two extremes or by looking at Scripture?

Re: Eid Milad

Wrong.

Re: Eid Milad

These celebrations have been carried out for centuries...no one has invented model of Santa clause. Stop spreading lies and making an excuse to destroy shrines and desecrate graves.

Re: Eid Milad

lolz, i think you dont know what you have written in your post earlier that is "I guess it's the Pakistani style of celebrating...they do the same on their weddings, causing trouble and nuisance for others."

I can give you more example that are close to pracitices of other religions but then you will say something like ''it is tactic to defame the practice by bringing the extreme examples.

Re: Eid Milad

May be you should get used to then...instead of spewing hatred against what others do on mawlid. I know some people who say rasme hina is haram, when in fact, it's some practices which are haram and not the whole idea of putting mahndi on bride or bridegroom.

but because we are hypocrites so for us Pakistanis it is completely okay to allow Bollywood sort of weddings but when it comes to anything that is Islamic we make a huge deal.

Kis sahabi ki shadi aisay hui thi? Please bring a Hadith?

Re: Eid Milad

Oh and not to mention how we celebrate our kids' birthdays....but coz it has nothing to do with Islam, it's okay. Lets just admit it, we don't consider Islam as a way of life hence we choose to follow some things and leave others.

Re: Eid Milad

:D
dont be emotional.
I got how you check the authenticity of matters of religion. you atleast accepted that it is not Islamic.

Re: Eid Milad

Peace All,

I think if we really really understand what "A Muslim brother is a brother of another Muslim means, precisely speaking one who said "there is no God except one", then I guess there will be no issue in discussing such topic regardless belonging to diff. sects.

Pardon me but I disagree with what you said b'coz the purpose of "Amr bil Maroof & Nahi Anil Munkar", just ends in what u said.

Re: Eid Milad

Haram is a big big big word! Things that are declared haraam is crystal clear in Quran and through the words of Prophet Muhammad pbuh.

Goodness, do people have no fear of God? How popular and well followed is Moulana Fazlu in Pakistan? Serious question...

Re: Eid Milad

Peace ajazali

Personal experience has given me a different insight in this matter. I have made my choice and changed my previous position towards favouring the milad. I don't think you are interested to know or understand my reasons ... I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me for not engaging in your conversation ... I have already had this conversation with myself ... I have seen the arguments for and against it ... For some reason I chose this way which I feel is closest to the spirit of Islam through reason and through reflection ... My teachers have given me so much supporting material for loving the prophet through these methods and I guess for you I will be a lost cause now ... I apologise again I am not good enough for you.

This notion of nothing like extreme in religion confuses me ... Please elaborate on what you mean ...

Re: Eid Milad

I think the modern day architecture of Holy places in Mecca and Madina is pure bidaaaaaaaa.

Re: Eid Milad

Here is an example:

One people accuse another for being mushrik the other accuse the former for being gustakh ...

so this is stalemate ... In my opinion.

I view both to be mistaken ... About one another ... If I listen to one group of people I listen to what they have to say about their own beliefs and ignore what they say against others ... This way I can objectively decide who I want to agree with.

Re: Eid Milad

The poetry you post in poetry forum is also unIslamic.

Ps: I'm not saying mawlid is not islamic...I'm saying it's not part of shariah.
