E.L.F

Have You tried their shimmering facial whip? review pls.

Re: E.L.F

did anyone buy their bronzer and blush? how was it? was it too light and powdery by any chance?

noticed that most of their products are way cheaper on usa site compared to UK site

yes the reason is the ELF is American brand, and one in uk/singapore and other sites they have are their distributors so prices are slightly different and as we know currency rates are diff too .( its only my opinion)
like on uk site delivery charges within uk are 2.95 whereas on usa site its 6$ :)

their Contouring Blush and bronzing powder which is often compared to Nar's Orgasm and Laguna. I think the colour pairing is beautiful .I was happy to get this

I love the colour pay-off, it's extremely decent for the price and the packaging is uber sleek. The colours itself are wonderful Either way I don't regret getting this and is easily recommendable to those who can't afford NARS but want a piece of the glamour.color looks little different on website its bit bright as in peachy pink

nice, saturated color.Creamy consistency allows for moisturizing.Very affordable, sized right for travel.Light and fresh citrus fragrance. Fades quickly, but smells nice during application!Wears for a quite a long time, even in humid environments.I use this product not only as a highlighter on top of my foundation but as an eyeshadow primer. As a highlighter, my skin glows! Doesn't hide in lines and wrinkles either. Looks very natural! As a primer, layering shadows on top intensifies the shadow color, and there's no creasing! Great product!.

i have found that most drugstore brands are too "powdery" and the colour is too faint to be noticeable. And it doesnt stay put for too long [my experience with n.y.c. and covergirl]. Is elf like that too?

i havent tried CG as its nt available here but elf blusher is pretty gud, its stayed long if u wear some primer underneath otherwise it doesnt fade if u wear it alone

Re: E.L.F

hi sarah! did u get any of their eyeshadows? if so what colours?
also, what colour facial whip did u get?
i'll place my order as soon as they've restocked on the HD powder and complexion brush both of which are on top of the list of things i wanna buy!

Re: E.L.F

has anyone ordered from elf onlne??

Re: E.L.F

^yes i have in the uk. now i keep getting annoying emails of their endless offers. kinda like sarah101's posts.

i bought stuff to try out for myself and also to give as gifts coz i was going to pak and everyone is always asking me to bring stuff from here. i didn't take any of the ELF stuff i bought. i would have been embarrassed to. the brushes were of really poor quality and the colour payoff and texture/consistency of the products was horrible.
i ended up going to the big boots on oxford st where they have lots of brands, which have products for a few quid (plus there was a 3 for 2 offer). bought powders and blushes from rimmel and shadows/liners etc from other random brands they had. there's this one brand i can't remember the name of but it had awesome shades of liners in different finishes... the kinda stuff most people would only wear occasionally so you wouldn't want to spend a lot on.

ELF are just very good at viral advertising.

Re: E.L.F

Depends I also got stuff from dem and I have no complaints. Their brushes are being compared to mac, so do a search onine . And sarah's posts aren't annoyin rather helpful cause she speaks wid personal experince and posts videos + revies so better stop attacking sum1 who is tryin to help. And wic offers r u talkin bout ? Am their email subscriber I haven't got any other than their anniversary one ..lol maybe u can enlighten us and help us.and u don't like brand FIne but plz don't attack sum1 personally.

Re: E.L.F

^excuse me, do you know how many of her post have been changed due the rules on 'no advertising'. this is what i mean by viral advertising. like the youtube vids where you think the reviewers are impartial but they have been given free stuff to promote.

i'm constantly getting emails for products for £1 for free gifts or free delivery.

i know their brushes are compared to MAC (again viral advertising!), that's why i bought them. but they are the WORST brushes i have ever spent my money on. the bristles were rough and kept coming out.

i have every right to review my experience of them to counter sarah101's very glowing posts.

i agree that anyone who wants to know for themselves should buy some products, they are cheap enough for you not to feel sore if you don't like them. personally, out of all the stuff i bought - brushes, lipliners, false lashes, all over colour stick, lip balm.. there was not a single thing worth using.

stopit what brushes would u recommend? im completely new to makeup the only stuff i wear is lipgloss + mascara (both only occasionally)...i wanna makeup shop now and theres so much to choose from its real confusing esp what brushes to get!

Re: E.L.F

whoa im gone for eid and look wat happened.. wel stoppit , true u have right to share ur experience as i might be different from mine, i am fully pleased with all items i purchased and delivery as well. as not necessarily if something suits is gonna suit you as well keeping in mind ur body+skin texture ,sensitivity and all.theres nothing to be snappy about my posts, there are million others posts andthreads which are without any vviral advertisement ,enjoy them
as far as my reviews are concerened, when i came across them on youtube i didnt know"they were given freebies to reviw" , feel free to google or use search on youtube as for me i am here only to share my gud expereince.anyways im sorry you had bad experience with cosmetics , but who doesnt ?? we all have our share of bad and gud reviews but no need to point at me as i have nothing against you.

thanks

Back to the topic ladies! Shukria!

I haven't tried their studio line eye shadows so far but heard they are pigmented enuff. Although I have ordered their get the look dramatic eyes wic I wil be gettin soon. try their mineral eye shadows, they few good options fr smoky look as well neutral.

As far as brushes are concerned , I wil ask u go for their studio line brushes , I got their complexion brush. Extremly soft and doesn't shed .,if u wanna spend more then coastal scents and sigma brushes are safe option. And if u r a makeup junkie. Only choice is MAC undoubtly

sarah thanx!! im placing my order in a bit as soon as i can find the 60% off coupon i saw sumwhere...lol!
thanx for the advice abt the brushes as well! im not a makeup junkie... like i said im an abslute beginner! i was told on this forum that mac brushes r gud but im not sure if theyre worth the price!

^ They are worth the price! MAC and Trish McEvoy makeup brushes..

Re: E.L.F

MAC are brillaint.but if u don't use makeup much. I beloeve Keep it minimal but quality stuff . Wen u become addicted ,jus a personal opinion. try the expensive stuff I have heard quite good reviews on sigma as well . Has any1 tried them ? I am becoming brush and eyeshadow freak :|
