dry skin solutions?

so frnds hello…all with dry skin plzz suggest me a gud moisturizer n sun block…thnx

Re: dry skin solutions?

I use the St. Ives moisturiser. I like it because it's not too heavy and not oily. It's the perfect consistency for my skin. The best time to apply it is right after you've washed your face.

For a sunblock * i have finally found the gold standard in all sunblocks. It's made by Avene [available from the cosmetics counter at Shoppers Drug Mart] and has over 10% titanium dioxide, an excellent physical blocker.
The only downside to it is that if u appy too much [you shouldn't need more than a pea-sized amount for your whole face] it leaves a white-ish layer which looks bad. The consistency of the sunblock is very very veryyy thick, almost like... a pasty plaster of paris... and takes around a good 5 minutes to disappear from the face and get nicely absorbed.
It costs around 25 dollars... so it is a little expensive... but it's totally worth it.*

i have very sensitive skin and love cetaphil products. Cleansers & Moisturizers ? Cetaphil Skin Care Products

Re: dry skin solutions?

dry skin? u mean ur face or whole body?
exfoliation helps a lot. exfoliate ur face and body on regular basis. do dry brushing b4 each bath. Afterwards use any moisturizing oil. i'm getting addict to oils these days. they keep skin in better condition.

Re: dry skin solutions?

mabrook, which oils do u use? I use baby oil but just on my legs.

Re: dry skin solutions?

i mostly use castor/olive oil mix(50-50 each) or vit.E oil. Once my vitE finishes i'll try joboba oil. i wanna buy Emu oil but its quite expensive here. i think i'll be collecting oils in my washroom very soon. lol
chk that baby oil for ingredients. if it has mineral oil in it avoid it. pure oils are much better.

Sara hav u chk'd any of the links i sent u? did u find them useful?

Re: dry skin solutions?

sometimes when i use oil on my face it causes break outs like olive oil but would u suggest me any gud oil for dry skin(face)??wats abut grape seed oil?

Re: dry skin solutions?

yes grape seed is good for acne prone skin.

Any cream with almond oil and oatmeal would really help u're dry skin. Once a week after u've washed u're face and while it's still damp apply vaseline all over u're face and wash it off the following morning.

Re: dry skin solutions?

I went to the dermatologist for dry skin issues. And he actually told me that at night, use vaseline anywhere you have dry skin (even face). As gina said - wash it off in the morning.

He suggested that any neutragena moisturizer that already has spf in it is good for daytime.

Using pure oil on the body is amazing after a shower. Mabrook - have you tried sesame oil?? I really like that one.

Re: dry skin solutions?
