double standards in our society

How many of you see the double standard in our society in how we raise sons and daughters? I see people raise daughters very differently with alot of strictness and a different set of rules than boys.
For example when a daughter goes out of the house for anything (shopping, or hanging out with her friends) parents expect her to return home early whereas for boys they don’t even ask them too many questions about who they are going out with or for what purpose.
In my family my brothers get the exact same treatment and set of rules but I see so many of my friends having no freedom at all but their brothers are always out doing whatever they want.
How do you guys see this situation?

Re: double standards in our society

What I don't get is how these parents let their sons go out until 3 am.

I mean, what exactly do you think your son is doing between 11 pm and 3 am?

Watering the neighbor's rose bushes? (wow, I just realized what a dirty metaphor that is...)

Re: double standards in our society

In every single culture, parents are more care full about daughters.
now MOVE ON!!!

NOT getting raped.
NOT getting harassed.
NOT getting over powered by BF and getting date raped.

etc etc..

Re: double standards in our society

^ Monk, thats true but WHY? Just because "every single parent' follows tha t, does that make if fair?

So why don't people keep their boys at home so they don't go out harassing these women?

Re: double standards in our society

dude ppl will gang rape you in any country if they can get away with that.. save you why form some cozy living room discussions.
jeez u women.

Re: double standards in our society

I wish I had as much freedom as my sister.

Re: double standards in our society

my experience was very different, my sister had more freedom than I did, significantly more, but my parents had other reasons for it, in hindsight, sound reasons I must admit.

Will you rape a woman if you know you wont get caught?

Re: double standards in our society

They should be more careful of their sons.

Let's see why.

Many of our boys get indoctrinated with hate ideology and go off and become suicide bombers or assist in terrorist activities.

Many of our boys are notorious for spreading around their seed before marriage.

Many of our boys are closet drinkers.

Many of our boys have experimented with drugs.

Some even end up in drug dealing. Believe me. It is true.

Many of our boys don't focus on their education, as evidenced by how common it is in the States for boys to end up in community college after high school. It's not like their parents lacked resources in providing for a good high school education. They were just too busy playing around.

Many of our boys are the worst followers of Islam.

I can go on and on. Sure, many of you boys probably are not like this. That's because you're all geeks, who spend time on GS as study breaks. But honestly, at the end of the day, you all know creeps who fit this bill.

It's about time, our community chains these kids at home as they chain their girls at home. You want to go out with friends? Fine. Mom and Dad are 10 feet behind you in the mall as you walk around with your buddies. You want to hang out with your friends and "play wii"? Fine, they can come over your house and mom can watch over. Mom should learn to use the computer so she can catch evidence of you having visited porn sites. Mom should go through your entire room looking for drugs, porn mags, and beer bottles. Mom should drop you off at school and pick you up. If you are 5 minutes late, she should have your name called on an intercom. If you have a diary, she should be reading it. If you have an account on GS, she should sign on with a name such as "Pixie" and have a hot sexy fairy as the icon and monitor your behavior (I am convinced Pixie is CM's mom).

So on and so forth. Boys should be raised with an iron fist.

Re: double standards in our society

monk, what is there to learn here? Because im a woman, i need to be sitting at home whereas men being men can be out doing whatever they want?
If a woman gets molested or harassed, is it her fault ?

Re: double standards in our society

As scary as it may seem, i agree with PCG in these posts so far.

Re: double standards in our society

I have a total of 11 uncles and aunts living in US and canada so i have a ton of female cousins growing up there and even there they have a different set of rules. Alot of them are being sent to Islamic schools because their parents fear that they might get "corrupted" but their sons are in public schools.

honey once you get exposed to ugly-iil willed ppl in a non protective environment you will learn it.
I am not in mood for this girly bulShyt.
