Does the military still control Pakistan?

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Kia IK kabhi sahi nahi soch sakta...

I was having the same opinion about Taliban which Imran had few years ago i.e. each drone attack multiplies no. suicide bombers rather than reducing. When Amerkia can do negotiations with Taliban than why not. But after swat , their intentions were very very clear. Also it is very clear that these people are totally brainwashed and cannot be corrected. Hence the only logical solution is what Army is doing now ( they are the one trained to do this job not civilians ) .. Though this battle is very very costly . Daily when I see pics of the shaheed soldiers make me sad and make me more critical about the yesteryear generals who created these monsters ...

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

And your point is? As if all those years you didn't jump up and down, did all sorts of yelling and wailing and called Imran Taliban Khan, mulk dushman, Army dushman? So why are you feeling so bad? Haven't you done enough mud slinging and character assassination of him in the past? Go back to doing the same thing. No one stopping you from making typically obsessive posts about Khan Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Now you want to have a little phapey kutni moan that PTIians supporting Gen Raheel, while you clearly had been calling them Taliban supporters in the past. Good for PTIaians to prove your nasty assertion wrong, good for them to stand behind Army's leadership. Do you have a problem with that? Were they wrong and mislead? Of course.

All leaders have had a go at Army when they did not seemingly took charge of the situation. Unlike people like you, Imran has learned his lesson and he has stopped his BS mudslinging of Army because it is not in national's interest at the moment. But if you think you want to be so smart and you want to continue BSing about Army because what Khan Jeeeeeeeeeee had said in Musharraf's tenure. Then go ahead and do it, it only makes Khan jeeeeeeeee look like a sensible and wise man of the moment.

Honestly cannot wait for the day when terror financing from Punjab is taken care of and big political guns go down. Then we'll see how patwaris give Khan jeeeeeee run for his money in Army bashing.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Oh no, Bill Gates saying Thank You Raheel Sharif too. :frowning:

How so embarrassing and painful for “Pakistanis”.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

I must have been PTIians who told uncle Bill Gates to say Shukriya Gen Raheel. :(

Hayeeeee Jamhoooriyat ko khatraaaaa.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Let's not get so insecure and paranoid that any person who gets popular becomes a 'demigod' or 'god' and everyone starts panicking. It is getting lame now. A lot of Malala haters also use the same retarded line just because she's popular so she must be being seen as a deity hence they say let's needlessly oppose her. I know a some people who don't like her just because she's famous, it is as simple as that for them, and this is really unfair.

It is Army's job to fight wars, it is not their right to "win" all the wars. They win wars through extraordinary efforts which gets commended. Wars are also won through high morale of troops, and the public. It is just a pity that we actually don't have a wartime premier.

We all get "paid" to our daily jobs as well, but let's no pretend we don't get praised and encouraged for our extra efforts and success in our tasks. So let's go easy on this wishy washy cynicism.

But Gen Raheel's popularity only suggest one thing - Pakistanis are beyond thirsty, beyond hungry for statesmanship. Now what could be the possible solution this since he won't be there after a year? Now do you quench nation's thirst for leadership? Someone will have to step up, who is going to step up?

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Not another general, please.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

"General" or "Dictator"?

If next COAS also becomes popular with public, it is people's choice. Live with it!

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

As if the generals conquered Pakistan through a popularity contest. They have always come by force, put Pakistan into deep **** and left when the **** hit the ceiling.

Please, no more.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

You just seem like a paranoid wrist slitter. I can't sooth your paranoia and hallucination. I'm sorry.

If public likes the next COAS for doing "his job" effectively, so be it. You can't stop them. They have this much choice and freedom or unless your brand of democracy doesn't allow this?. But if you want to sit there and hallucinate about that general "conquering" Pakistan, what can I do? May it never happens.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Why get personal?

If COAS continues to do his job, it would be great for Pakistan. I'll be extremely glad.

However being a statesman, political leader, entrepreneur or twitter celebrity is NOT his job. I'll continue to criticize military as long as they keep meddling with what is NOT their job.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Listen!

You cannot dictate who gets popular on twitter and who doesn't! Are you really going to insult your own intelligence and suggest that COAS sits there and turns himself into a celebrity on twitter? Why are you so insecure and paranoid and jealous?

What do you think, it is Saudi Arabia that you know want to moral police twitter and Facebook? Every second public figure on twitter is a celebrity. Get over it seriously! Come up with something better.

Maybe invest some energies into your democracy instead of getting so paranoid and insecure about General's popularity on twitter. Your "bloody civilian" and a democrat Imran Khan is a bigger celebrity on twitter than most real Pakistani celebrities combined. Yes including the current oh so popular COAS you cannot stomach. So quit crying.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

How ironic!!!!

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Some people are hallucinating that COAS is just about to come to power because his name is famous on twitter. Just like some PTIians thought Imran is a confirmed next Prime Minister because of his popularity on Facebook.

Great.

How many more followers and re-tweets to do I need on twitter to announce myself as Queen of England to some Pakistanis?

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Average people are oppressed by feudal and politicians. I as average Pakistani dont care what so called intellectuals have to say about Army's influence on Pakistan politics. In fact what matters most to average Pakistani is politicians' oppression.
Watch Hamid mir show, half of the points of his show revolves around his own life and threats he gets from Army. lolz

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

If you find Pak Army threatening and killing it's own people something to laugh at - u clearly are messed up.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Its actually laughable how he conducts his show. Discussion about personal and private meetings, wit and gossip that audience don't even understand. Most of these type of journalists exaggerate about army for rating purpose. I believe these journalists contribute nothing good to the society.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Exaggerate??? He was threatened by ISI and shot multiple times shortly after.

When ISI does this to such a high profile figure, they can do the same to you or anybody who does not agree with them- and they have killed thousands throughout Pak history, and are still doing it now - Sabeen, Hamid Mir, peaceful Balochi students- not a laughing matter.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

^^ There are plenty of journalists who criticize Army. HM can do nothing to Army, why would they consider him special?

On topic...
Army has nothing to do with prevailing feudalism, politicizing of Police, oil prices, electricity production, export promotion, corruption in govt institutes , inefficiency etc. these are the matters of average people. Military controls Pakistan is a good topic for internet forums and media shows to get rating.

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Thats wut most blind followers do upon criticism of their idols. Why you so suprirsed?

Consider yourself very lucky as you havent been called a traitor yet. Cherish these moments till then.. :chai:

Re: Does the military still control Pakistan?

Exactly. If you want to make all the hue and cry about Army's "involvement in civilian affairs" - then simply reject Army designed NAP. Call off Karachi operations, take full charge of FATA rehabilitation, maintain peace in Quetta, prevent Army from doing any sort of rescue work for famine, floods, rains and earthquakes....and let the "bloody civilians" deal with problem of funding of terrorism while Army simply does Zarb e Azb. If you have the bloody guts....tell Army to stop doing all this and tell you civilian Kings and Queen to take charge, and deliver.

They all hypocrites and blind haters of highest order. Asking Army why they haven't hanged Qadri, while he was PPP's man and PPP was in government for five years. Coming up with idiotic excuses if only uniform man was murdered....while plenty of uniform men were killed in cold blooded target killing in Musharraf and Kiyani's tenure.
