Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

Re: Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

Whats superstitious ?

Re: Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

astrology.

Astrology - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Astrology is generally considered a pseudoscience or superstition by the scientific community

That is an interesting perpective you introduced Arleitter. Never knew about this.

Re: Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

^Yes jiiii Pluto was never feautred ,in any name or by any means,in Indian astrology.

There are many in great numbers in scientifc community who think otherwise.I am talking about Indian astrology(Jyotisha).

If this is a psuedoscience, the you need to call many hypothesis and theories like big bang, extraterrestrial life, three dimension, four dimension etc as psuedo informations.

Re: Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

Do you think astrology is the same as astronomy?

Re: Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

Yes but Astrology is more detailed and intricated.

And ofcourse accurate aswell.(Indian)

Re: Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

I dont miss pluto… it never gave attention to me… :naak:

Re: Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

The truth is pluto has not really been kicked off from the Solar system. It has been transfered to different genre, A "Dwarf Planet" and it is a member of Kuiper Belt. It is a planet which is still incomplete. But it is still a planet and is a part of solar system. Pluto from the start was considered the ugly duckling of the solar system due to it's physical classifications. I'm happy that the ugly duckling finally found it's family. :)

Re: Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

Actually Astronomy and Astrology are totally two different things. Astronomy deals with the physical sciences related to celestial bodies. Astrology is just using the star charts and their navigation to determine their effect on us according to Roman and Greek Mythology. I'm amateur astronomer but I don't support or study Astrology or Roman/Greek Mythology. It's just weird to me where I can't find any logical existence of field of study.

Re: Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

Ah yes, Pluto, good times.

SafwanR, amateur astronomer, awesome. May I pick your brains? I'm in the market for a telescope, suggestions?

Re: Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

LMAO u guys! How sad!
Many vile eartlings munch jam sandwiches under newspaper pile! That was my mnemonic when i was growing up.
I cant remember the exact reason why it was decided that pluto was not a planet and when. I left high school in 2004 and then it was a planet. Anyone care to refresh my memory?

Re: Do you miss Pluto being a planet?

See, FoxyToxy, what happened was that Pluto had a crush on Venus, who was dating Jupiter. So Jupiter and his buddies, Mars, Neptune and Mercury, beat up on lil’ ol’ Pluto and he got kicked out of the cool clique.

Only goes to show......size DOES matter. Sadly, even the inanimate things have not been spared. :p
