I say that scientist are not fair. What if our planet was the size of Pluto? Would they demote it to the rank of asteroid or dwarf planet (whatever Pluto is classified as, now)?

I knew about the debate, but I did not know if it is official now.
I hope now that I am putting the right reason .. astronomers discovered objects larger than Pluto in our solar system in the asteroid belt that sits beyond pluto but still within our solar system. So instead of classifying those larger-than-pluto objects as planets, they kicked Pluto out of the planet class.
