Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?

Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?

Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
I think some people should just leave Pakistan alone. Pakistan wasn't made for people with identity crisis.
Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
pakistan was created 63 years ago. jesus.
Hahahahaha.a…man I really wish I looked Pakistani! Honestly, I do not like being compared to being Latina.
Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
I wasn't born in Pakistan.
My parents weren't born in Pakistan.
I don't have a Pakistani passport.
Do i call myself Pakistani - yes.

Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
I was born in the US.
Ammi was born in Karachi, then lived in what is now Bangladesh, and then moved back to Pakistan.
Abu was born in India, before Pakistan existed. His family eventually moved from Lucknow to Lahore and Karachi.
I consider myself Pakistani because the culture is so much a part of who I am. And I don't mean movies and dramas and clothes. I mean it's in the way I carry myself and what I long for.
Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
gosh am I the only one who looks paksitani on this forum and not uzbek or turk or spanish or watever else
You are not alone I am also a Proud paki and look like a pakistani.
I was born in pakistan and was brought up here. But I still and will consider myself pakistani and I will make sure my future generation also hold the title of being Pakistani proudly regardless of where they are born.
Nowadays I have seen people that call themselves American instead of Pakistani when they clearly look pakistani.
Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
Hey, all of what you quoted was said only by me. Why are you picking on me alone?![]()
And what exactly does a Pakistani look like, may I ask?
Pakistan is a melting pot of ethnicities and cultures. Ok?

I think for YOU it doesnt mean anything. For me a lot. After my Religion and my parents its Pakistan that I care of =]
If you dont like Pakistan then its NOT that it doesnt matter. It matters to our forefathers who died to achieve this land. Maybe it doesnt bother you because your parents might not have experienced it.
Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
Well, I used the word 'Pakistani' because that's what most of us are here. But the emphasis was on looking 'different'.
and I put some more question on it as what being a real Pakistani mean.
When a person dont have a heart or thoughts to be Pakistani and to feel for Pakistan then I dont consider him a Pakistani. =]

Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
still no read aaho's comments .......everybody else here just say pakistani dont follow its culture or anything
Actually they only feel Pakistani when Pakistan performs well. eg: UK streets when Pakistan won T20 title last time. :D
Else they dont want to call themselves as they feel defenseless even if another person is telling them a hoax or lie.. They simply believe.
Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
My first and primary identity is that of a Muslim.
But yes, after that, I see myself as a Pakistani - I speak Urdu at home, I love Pakistani culture, I love the land, and the sheer hot-headed resilience of our people. Mash'Allah. Perhaps most of all, I love the food.
Many times, people see Pakistan as a backward little country destined for failure. But I look at Pakistan's 63 years, and I see how far we've come, Mash'Allah. A mountain of work still needs to be done, but we've done in 60 years what many countries have failed to do in double that.
I wear shalwar kameez proudly (when I wear it); I speak the language proudly, I love Urdu poetry, and even though I have lived in Pakistan for only a couple of years, my love for the country is so fierce I often wonder at it!
Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
^^ something like that is called a real Pakistani =]. I hope you also do something from your side for the betterment of Pakistan.
Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
Was born in Pakistan but never lived there only visited in summer vacation. But still I feel whenever something happens to Pakistan it hurts.I wear shalwar kameez because it is my pechaan and now I want my children to know their roots and love Pakistan despite how ugly or poor it is.I don't mind if they love their country which is USA because I feel like where I am right now I should be loyal to that country also. But I don't want to forget my roots also.

Thank you, and Insh'Allah I pray the same! :)
Re: Do you call yourself a Pakistani?
arey bhai jaan i wasn’t tryin to offend you or anything. Thats why i put spanish there cuz sara said she looks like that and c’mon Pakistani people have their distinct features that set us apart. If you can’t tell them apart then I guess I am one of the few people who notices these features.
