I'm a newly husband usually i called my wife by her name some times i used "pyar walay words" she called me with " sunnniyeee " but when she got upset she used my name.

i guess, begum word has to do with guys from UK....My UK born hubby calls me begum in front of his friends and when we are alone, we have given a nick name to each other which we almost always use....When either of us use real name thats when we know something's wrong..lol..:D

My dad used to call my mum 'Malika.' We grew up thinking that was mum's name! Other names he called her are too cringe-worthy to mention here- Noor Jehan anyone?! Lol! Talking about titles, my best friend calls me Begum and I love it! x

My mother's side has one too, and she's a *great *granny, and unfortunately the concerned *maamon *isn't around anymore, but he probably smiles down from heaven above when ppl still call his white haired dignified granny wife "dulhan" :D
