Re: Do gays deserve the same rights and access to benefits as the straights?
such baseless claims. who told you there is no homosexuality or very little in Pakistan? please go see a red light district and see how many hijra/khusra/male/transgender prostitutes are there! they are in such high demand, and even outnumber female prostitutes in certain areas! pakistan is also one of the top countries in the world which searches for gay porn online! get your facts straight before making assumptions.
BTW, in pakistan, there are so many gay designers, makeup artists and stylists. go check out the fashion industry in pakistan and see how many gay designers and makeup artists are there. ther is just as many gays in every part of the world, it’s just that in some places it’s considered such a taboo that it’s not out in the open.
Pakistan is not the kind of place that most people would associate with gay liberation. But some say the country is a great place to be gay - even describing the port city of Karachi as “a gay man’s paradise”.

Re: Do gays deserve the same rights and access to benefits as the straights?
Don’t waste your time dear. You are dealing with people who don’t have an issue when someone calls Quran fairy tales. They won’t understand you and you can’t understand them. Just leave such discussions with dissenting note.
Re: Do gays deserve the same rights and access to benefits as the straights?
bahas jeetnhe ke liye nahin hoti. Its about accommodating different views. But its not possible, when definition of basic things like ‘rights’, ‘spouse’, ‘kindness’ ‘tolerance’, etc have different meaning for different participants of a discussion. Our values come through Quran and scriptures, and for other group these don’t count. so simply ‘Disagree to Agree / Agree to disagree’ on such topics.
Re: Do gays deserve the same rights and access to benefits as the straights?
I agree - it seems as if religion is always bent to accommodate personal views and never really observed - even by those who claim to be practicing Muslims.
I wonder - lol - what they practice? If they even understand what they read or do they just recite it while standing up and sitting down?
So yes, let’s agree to disagree - we have a different definition of what a REAL practicing Muslim is and also what Islam is.

[note]I think we can all see the differences of opinion and that no one is going to change the other’s mind. Please talk to each other with a decorum of respect and also respect one another’s viewpoint, even if you disagree with them. Thank you.[/note]
