When majority of Sindh do not want separation, by passing a resolution in Sindh assembly, what is the moral or legal justification? Its just not about Karachi, its about all urban areas (including Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Meerpur Khas, Sukkur) in Muhajir Sooba. Who ever behind this movement, its quite clear that they can't see poor Sindhi progressing on their own land.

just want to let you know that any new sooba in punjab will allow MQM to demand new southern sooba.

Let them try and see the reaction. Do you think only Sindhi don't want this nonsense. Punjabis, Baluchis and Pukhtoons are more than muhajir population. Tomorrow they can claim punjabistan, pukhttoonistan and baluchistan in urban areas of Sindh.

You got it. For me the elections are near, the mqm thugs have to invent something to attract voters. This is the main reason. When mqm was ruling Sindh for decades in Zia’s, Mush’s times what had stopped mqm to create panahgir suba then? The Jinahpur BS and now this fraud to the people of Sindh. It is just an stint and backstabbing the government.
Muhajirs are in Punjab, KP and even in Baluchistan. Why don’t they want to create muhajir suba there?

What are the population dyanamics in sukkur, mirpurkhas and nawabshah?

I dont know the dynamics of Sindh but in Punjab the mohajers have integrated into the society much better, that's one of the reasons why there is no hold of mqm there. The second generations of these mohajers consider them a part of Punjab. I fail to understand how one can remain a mohajer after 65 years.

Ayub Khan did that after Martial Law in 1958 and it didn't work.

Even the former interior minister of Sindh himself admitted that he had declared 'Pakistan na khappay" only recently, and was stopped in his designs only by Zardari himself.

KARACHI: As the people across the country celebrated Pakistan Day, hundreds of thousand people from Sindh gathered in Karachi on Friday and demanded freedom for Sindh and an independent status for Balochistan.
This demand came in a ‘Freedom March’ rally organised by the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), a Sindhi nationalist party, led by Bashir Qureshi.
Recalling that Sindh had joined Pakistan under the resolution of March 23, 1940 voluntarily, JSQM chief Bashir Qureshi said that this resolution has lost its value as it failed to give autonomy to the federating units.
“It is therefore not logical and moral to remain with Pakistan. We now say goodbye to this country,” Qureshi said
He said that Pakistan’s territorial boundaries were not sacred and it was always possible change and alter it. Criticising ‘Punjabis,’ Qureshi said “people of Sindh have always fought against the invaders and will not let any one loot and plunder the resources of the soil.”
