Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

'Cause Satan will always believe in God…

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

The ONLY people I know who think this is somehow a warning from God are those who want an excuse not to donate...

In the Quran, God never destroyed a nation without warning them (always sending a warner no less).

This is different. The Quran is our final warning, so then what was the behavior EXACLTY and SPECIFICALLY of those Kashmiris that God was angry with? Easy to say after the fact "oh, this is God's warning", but where the hell was this Mullah before the fact if things were so bad?

Bottom line: this earth quake would have happened in the same region had people lived there or not. Earthquakes do happen, and humans have spread so far that it's increasingly becomming common for lots of humans to live in earthquake prone areas.

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

true but still dared to reject god’s commands while believing in God:D

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

WRONG. A big size of population in Pakistan and outside thinks it was “azaab” but they are still donating whatever they can, I don’t know how it can be used as excuse. There are many people who think it is a sign/warning from Allah swt but still donated, it is also a test for “us” as to how do we help people in need- REAL NEED.

Mullahs are always telling people not to indulge in bad acts, what does population do? They say “they are mullahs”, just like everyone is bashing mullahs left and right (as you just did too).

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

Yet is incapable of the greatest sin…

I often wonder about Satan…he’s an idiot, no doubt..but one thing strikes me is that in the Quran he comes across as one who fears God and in a fit of ego rebelled.

Hell is described as a flaming pit…I wonder if it’s meant to punish Satan (who is a Jinn - i.e a creature of fire), or only those humans who are lured by him…

You're right, the generalization is uncalled for. But there ARE Mullahs going around simply telling everybody they screwed up, not knowing exactly what they did wrong, and not doing squat all to help.

Now what Mullah specifically warned the people striken in the affected areas of their impending doom, and why not Lahore or Karachi where all the REAL sins are being commited? Becuase it was "God's will"? Not good enough...why punish thousands of pious...to make a point to the impious? Where is this trend indicated in the Quran? Where has God ever done that?

Earthquakes are a sign of God's might, no doubt. But the fact is, it's faulty logic to compare the Tsunami, the Bam earthquake, or the one in Kashmir with those mentioned in scripture that had destroyed nations who were corrupt to the core.

YOU are just as much a sinner as the people of Kashmir were, or just as pious (take your pick)....why didn't YOU die? Answer me that exactly...what was it YOU did that saved you? What were the Kashmiris doing that was so bad? Don't presume they were wicked just because they happened to be the victims.

In the end, God takes whom he pleases...it's His right. BUT there is no telling if it was His intent to PUNISH us or not...that's not a matter of belief or not, it's speculation at best. ALL we can say for certain is that an earthquake happened, and it just so happened people lived there. Powerful earthquakes happen every year in remote areas, so not all earthquakes are signs. Similarily, not all earthquakes in populated areas are devine punishment. In any case, we should only concern ourselves with the surviors.

The last thing these people need are people going around and implying they were "wicked" and somewhow deserved what they got.

If this was Azaab then we need to know EXACTLY what the people of Kashmir were doing that was so wrong so we can LEARN from it. What point is a warning if we can't comprehend the sign? So....tell me...what was it?

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

Agree with it 100%. Specially the bold sentence.

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

That seems more like current day christian thinking.

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

Mamaof3 Just curious why did you start this thread?

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

This was probably the best you wrote instead of such a long post.

Sir, respectfully, If you did not catch the drift, the thread was started moslt likely to bash Mullah as it appears to be the trend on this forum.

Many uneducated and many highly educated people in east and west said the similar things about natural disasters.

But no, mullah is dragged and ridiculed by someone who cannot even produce the proof of her conversation with someone, who had alleged conversation with a supposedly mullah.

Some people like semi just decided to ‘Extrapolate’ things while waiting for the oppurtunity to ‘extrapolate’ based on his pre-judgement.

Spreading bad info like this, is an irresponsible act.

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

I disagree. Those who are self-righteous enough to think the Kashmiris brought the earth quakes upon themselves need serious vituperation.

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

Here I am with you, there is no way anyone can claim that it was Allah’s azaab, those who do it simply take verses of Quran regarding destruction of nations in past and apply them today without going into details, above ALL without God telling us if this one is an azaab too.

Exactly my argument. When people go around claiming that it was Allah’s azaab on those people, indirectly they are claiming to be innocent/holier/pious than those who died in the earthquake or will die later due to same. Whilst you can see more nations, regions, areas involved in worse crimes/sins but they are still happily going around… that is not God’s justice.

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

You are basing your judgement on hearsay. That speaks clearly of your poor judgement. Maybe you are just being emotional which is again a source of joy for mullah bashing people.

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

Allah did not send any email declaring that this was something aclled azaab....

did he send emails to the lot here who think otherwise that this was nothing of the sort of azaab????
or have we also started thinking like the nations before us "nahnu abnaa Allah wa ahibbaauhu" (we r Allah's children and his loved ones) and we shall never face the azaab????

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

ok, ONE last try at mature discussion here...

I've been watching for my friend on messenger to ask his permission to disseminate his name, address, phone # and messenger ID. So that those of you who think I'm "making this up" and using this sad situation as "tafreeh" can communicate with him yourselves.

He is a distinguished gentleman in his 50's and a university professor who would find comfort and peace in his religion - but is very disillusioned with Islaam due to the types of things being preached by his local religious leaders. He therefore has sadly abandoned it. I feel badly for him and did not know what to say to him other than well, there are ignorant people in any religion. I mistakenly thought that posting the situation here would provide better guidance.

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

If he is disillusioned with Islam it is better not to give out his phone number to this lot... most of who think that it’s ok to kill people leaving the religion.

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

^^ i dont think you need explain anything mama.....the only person that needs to be put in place is guy1 who will slander others for not being righteous enuf yet does not go blow himself up for palestinians. all shifted pakis are bad, all of karachi deserves azaab, all of the west is bad...i am still trying to figure out which area of pakistan is the purest according to him......

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

yes please let him live the rest of his life in peace…

Re: Disturbing - Conversation with a Mullah

My last attempt to "understand" the decree of "this was Allah's azaab". Those who bring up Quran to show the verses regarding people's deeds inviting Allah's azaab or Allah sending azaab to people who transgressed, can they please show if in past nations it ever happened that azaab was sent on the nation and some still lived thru it injured, half dead, died day later? In past, did it ever happen that only part of nation was destroyed and part left alone? People of one nation were way worse in "transgression" and were left alone while other was sent azaab?
