Disney is warped big times, yeah!?

Re: Disney is warped big times, yeah!?

Ive heard a lot of conspiracy theories about Disney and how they have hidden messages in their cartoons and when you really think about it, alot of the stuff is really messed up. For example they say that in the lion king when simba goes and lays down in the dust, it poofs up around him and spells SEX but you have to be really quick to catch that. Havent actually dug out the movie myself to verify if its true or not. But thats with alot of cartoons and kids stuff these days. Even Spongebob when watched close enough seems to have a lot of sexual innuendos and connotations. Kinda creepy.

I agree with the killing mothers thing though… thats really really messed up. I remember even as a kid I cried so much when dumbo’s mother died. Heck it still brings tears to my eyes now when I think about it! :teary1:

I know they’re fairytales and all but I dont like how they always portray stepmothers as evil, kill mothers off and show the princesses as helpless little creatures that can only be saved and get their lives back by the heroic charming princes.

 Bilkul or Alladin disney ka nahi asal mainAlf Laila ka sarmaiya hy:chai:

Re: Disney is warped big times, yeah!?

yesterday i was watchin Aladin and the king of theives with my kids, which actually I insisted them to watch… I loved that movie as a kid and hadnt seen it recently… But now when I was watching iwth my kids again after a long time, I was like really embarrassed, first at the dresses of the ladies in the movie. Then the wedding scene comes, when the bride and groom hold their hands and the ground start shaking cuz the elephants were running around.. The jinnie, looks down and says, “oh it wasnt supposed to move till the honeymoon” and I was like aankhain phatti hooi :o :smack:

You guys should watch the documentary film Mickey Mouse monopoly specially moms. It is on youtube and google video.

Re: Disney is warped big times, yeah!?

You know its not just the fairy tale princesses that didn't have mothers, Nemo's mam died an all!!!

Re: Disney is warped big times, yeah!?

disney is zionist too

Re: Disney is warped big times, yeah!?

I loved most Disney movies growing up too, but as I got older I started taking beef with it as well!! I haaated that none of the girls ever had moms, they always have to kill off the moms!! And what messages these movied send to our young girls! Look at Ariel, she was only sixteen when she ran off with Eric! She just sees him once and falls madly in love with him and leaves her family and everything behind for him! And woh bhee in only a bra!! And Sleeping Beauty, she went ever further than Ariel and fell in love with a man she saw in her dreams! And then Aladdin, so many stereotypes, give me a break, show me one Arab girl who runs around all day long in a shalwar and a bra like everyone in that movie does!!!!!! Ugg!! And Lion King, was it like the first movie in Africa, and its all about animals! No people living in Africa you know!!

yep thats what i mentioned early on, its a popular theme with disney movies, maybe they are trying to reach out to single parent kids/families in the west here :hmmm: u know ‘happily ever after’ despite having a setback in life, ya i think kids here will kinda relate to that. no?

All I got from finding Nemo was the fact that sea creatures are so colourful!!!

I remember asking my 5 year old cousin if she wanted to watch again on DVD. Her reply ’ But Nemo has already been found, hes not going to get lost again!’

Re: Disney is warped big times, yeah!?

^ lol ya it was such a beautiful start with the music and vivid animation...but 5 mins into it my 3 yr old refused to watch it, beyond the point of that scary chase with the mommy and they actually show her/its floating body! hellooo a little sensitivity please

Ooo another funny animation film story. My 3 year old cousin would howl the house down everytime we tried to watch Toy Story 2. She thought Woody had really been kidnapped and was going to die. It was hilareous, not for her though.

The mam in The Incredibles was well and truly alive, so its not all bad. And she was a super hero!

LOL!

Shark Tale! NO parents at all...

Re: Disney is warped big times, yeah!?

I luv Disney

Re: Disney is warped big times, yeah!?

I have never seen cartoons with that angle…

In those days, cartoons were cartoons and were for kids… what you understand differently in childhood can come across really surprisingly very embarassing when you grow up… Take example of what Clementine stated… Will a kid understand the oneline like that? I do not know. When I was a kid, I would’ve not. Children today are quite “mature” :bummer: May be that is why they are making cartoon storylines like that but then, it could be the cartoons themselves which are corrupting these innocent minds…

Really, wait… and think about it… What was wrong in Pink Panther, Pop eye the sailor, Bugs Bunny, Luney Toones, Hackle and Jackle, Woody Wood packer, Tom and Jerry, Captain Planet, and the likes?

Re: Disney is warped big times, yeah!?

^ true, but whats the re-curring idea behind killing off mommies :bummer:
