Dish Network In Canada....

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

Basically if you are a member to sites you will have noticed that the Nagra2 hack files have been release for ATMEGA/AVR. Unfortunately they are not working that affectively and give Card Not Inserted messages, but… there is a solution.

There is only two reasons why it was released. Either through a hack, or a leak. Seems more like a hack cause they have a dump, and it comes to my belief that the Rom 101 is fully functional with only a few flaws. They have started attempting the 102 and 103, with good news.

Also, if it was a leak, I’m sure Charlie would have changed the decryption keys on the one leaked. (remember: Nagra1 was leaked many many years ago.. with the ancient Rom2, which he tried to put an end to with Rom3.. haha).

And its true. Ultra receivers (FTA) are working. They are missing only a few channels and will go up and down for a while, but who cares.. its working! Woo hoo!!! :k:

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

There are people who are advertising this week for the Satelite Releases in Toronto and Montreal… These new reciever got releases only a week ago!
it’s all through the FTA recievers with no monthly costs but no gurantee either of how long it will last but they will charge you $50 to re-program!!!
(for ppl who r interested… i can get you the contacts - they are selling for $350)

I’ve found several sources that sell FTA recievers alot cheaper.. but my question is does anyone of them work by just hooking em’ up with the satelite cable… or if they donn work… how are these programming for $50 to get them to work again?

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

anyone know anything on FTA programming yet?

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

i got the dish...it took the guy to get it working a few hours but its been working for 3 days now...:D Its great to watch Pakistan channels again.

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

Yasir.. you doing FTA? or Rom101?

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

Better to wait still till the dust settles. Really.

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

FTA…thats what the guy told me…its totally new…even the guy who set it up wasnt exactly sure how to do it cuz he said these recievers and their settings are brand new for him too. But the main thing is that since i got it its been working with no problems

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

can u tell me which reciever is it that ur using.. and how much did it cost to set it all up?

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

So is it safe to say that the receivers we were using prior to this are pretty much useless now?

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

No! Just have some patience.

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

Universal FTA Reciever

Microyal

MRX - 1200

$450 for the whole setup here in Calgary, Canada

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

i heard that these new recievers are goona be obsolete in a couple of months, basically they're 'quick fixes' that aren't going to last very long

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

And they are charging 450 bucks too, which is insane!

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

dang, $450 for an FTA receiver...u got ripped off :p

get a fortec ultra from ebay for $150 CDN, program the keys urself (instructions to do that are readily available on the internet)

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

probably it was the complete package.
FTA / sat dish / aiming / installation, etc.

still, i never paid any dealer in the good old days. did everything myself.

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

I'm getting all the channels for free. I just have to re-enter the key when the new software is putin place..about every other week. But its not a problem at all. im getting them all free :p

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

I've just got the Fortec Receiver... will let you guys in on the results in couple days!

Dua' Kerna ;)

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

Yeah, you heard right…

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

The main reason why I am considering buying a FTA is only for the cricket.
I was never a fan of FTA from the beginning, as plastic was my specialty, but considering the situation we're in I wouldn't mind digging into FTA for a while. Who knows it may run smoothly with just key changes now and then.

Anyways, which FTA's do you guys have? Model?

I heard some of them are extremely slow, and some of them do not have guides as you have to memorize the channel number, or they do have a guide but its horrible and hard to understand when the show is actually on. Also it may show 3 channels per screen at one time with one hour a time.

Spock.. buy yourself a FTA dude. There not that expensive and its for the cricket remember.

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

Someone who knows alot did not recommend it, but it would help if someone posts how long they have been active for? I mean spending around $200 on something that works just a month or two would be a waste, wouldnt it?
