Re: Dish Network In Canada....

I'm paying 42 bucks a month for Sony, Zee, Geo, ARY and America's top 60. You have to get a subscription in the States. If you are not willing to pay atleast this much, you are better off with subscribing to the piece of crap that is Rogers Cable.

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

Same here the Game. We got it through a subscription in the states and are billed monthly directly by Dish Network.

Rogers Cable sucks cause you get the channels via ATN. I hope you realise that ATN does not show the programs directly like Dish Network, change the program schedule and edit it by putting in their own shows.

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

I thought using American satellites in Canada is totally illegal. How is it that some of you are able to subscribe to the American satellite and are able to view the channels legally?

I'd be interested in subscribing to it. However, I'm only interested in ARY and GEO.

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

Game, that's way less than what I'm paying!

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

exactly. We in US of A are the one that are really getting screwed. Not these beady eyed, colder than a freezer, ****hole of a country, the armpit of america, no army having, sissy, boring ass hellhole that is canada.

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

Game is in the USA, Atlanta.

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

This just in, NAGRA 2 was cracked, thanks to Peoples Champ for the info on this ;) Im not sure if its totally correct or not, as personally I thought it would have taken ALOT longer... This should be a big sigh of relief for Canadians, but Charlies going to be pretty pissed now.

Its the 101 card (i heard they stopped shipping that out pretty soon, and sent the 102s), the guy who did this said that the ASIC was intact, and he was able to get all the N2 channels...

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

I’m in Canada PCG. And it’s less because I share the account with some relative of mine. We get the same programming but half the bill. And Atlanta bhai, thora dimaagh larao, and you can pay even less than what I’m paying. Really.

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

Pappu yaar, tang na kar.

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

42 buckz 4 all these channel??? how kome???

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

This works very nicely, and its best if one does that with relatives, rather than doing it with dealers… Dish tried to put an end to this a while back by shipping dual tuner receivers, but that didnt really work out, since it was a pain in ass in terms of wiring for the dish installation crew, so now they give you the option.

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

Just set up one account for receivers in different homes. Only one person will be billed for the programming. Ask Spock for details. I paid half even when I was residing in New Jersey through this set up.

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

oh ok

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

Yep, also make sure to tell them you want two seperate receivers, or they might send you a dual tuner.

Re: Dish Network In Canada....

Once again the notorious "hackers" have reversed engineered the method to crack down the encryption which is ran by the multi billion dollar companies such as Bell ExpressVu and Dishnetwork. Few years back Nagra 1 which was the encryption used on Bell and Dishnetwork to recieve the signal was cracked down by a bunch of engineers to stop from paying for satellite television, it was the black market undergoing some serious $$$$$. With the Nagra 1 and its offerings for up to 1,100 channels of programming for the north american continent it was pretty much unstoppable. But after a few years like most providers, they tend to upgrade, change, and modify theyr changes on their network. Dishnet decided to swap all the cards from all their existing customer because they were planning on going to a new encryption. But sure enough only after 6 months when the Nagra 2 encryption came out....The hackers once again reversed engineered the code and now soon to be, theyrs going to be free tv again. I guess technology is so advanced that no one can stop it.

Re: Dish Network In Canada…

Whats surprising is that NAGRA2 has been up and unbeatable in Europe, and has been so for 4 years now.
