If a Jehovah's Witness, or a Catholic, or a Jew or Hindu condemned me to their hell for all eternity, so be it...Doesn't matter an iota of difference to me...
However, if I believed certain wrong things about Judaism which were considered blasphemous by them and were corrected by a Jew later on, that's that...
How simple can it be...
The Quran says, you to your way and me to mine...Does it get any simpler than that?

somehow, i doubt you;d have much fun working with someone who tells you your religion is a perversion of theirs, and that you are going to hell. or living next doors to. i am sure most people would take offence.

Unfortunatley, you are taking this ayah in out of context. This ayah specifically talks about those believing Jews, Christians and Sabians who were firm in their faith prior to the prophethood of Muhammad:saw: and those were the previous Muslim ummah of time. Try reading some ayaahs before and after this one too.

What was Allah asking the Prophet to warn them about? It was the Wrath of Allah and Hellfire, nothing else. There were only two statements on the Prophets tongue; I have only come to deliver the message, I have only come to warn you. Read his Seerah and you’d find out the number of times he warned them of Hellfire, read the Quran and you’d find out how Quran warns the disbelievers of a Punishment like that which came on the People of 'Aad and Thamoud.
That is how our Prophet spread Islam, all out and clear. Nothing hidden. What new way of spreading Islam are you talking about? Do you claim to have a better and more efficient way of spreading Islam?
Islam doesn’t need recruits that we may present a polished up and goody good face of Islam. This is no ROTC. Whoever Allah guides, comes closer to Islam regardless of whatever. Guidance is in His Hands, He guides whom He Wills…He misguides whom He Wills.

my CATHOLIC friends tell me that screwing some girls, get drunk once a while, pop some drugs to calm ur sences etc are all permissible, if you go say HELLO to ur priest every sunday.
and they also tell me GOD is biological father of JESUS GOD FORBID and since GOD is dead now the CHOZEN POP is current god. and also explains SALVATION of how you can warm MR PRIEST’s pocket and become sinless.

The point is if I cannot be sure if I am going to heaven or not how can I judge a living person if that person will go to heaven or hell?
People who died as non-believers or those so called believers (non-practicing muslims) are given indications of going to hell in Quran.
But still its up to Allah afterall on final day what he may like in a person which we did not see. (call it hope, wish for mercy.......)
Its the duty of muslims to spread the word of Allah the best way and the kindest way they can and after that nothing like force, mockery, self righteousness or coersion is allowed.
If the person still not willing to accept ask Allah for his mercy on both parties and STOP there.

How so? And how is God throwing anyone in Hell? It’s us who is wandering the path…it’s not as if we’re being pushed here or there…

Also, who says God is sending anyone anywhere…Hell is a place YOU go…for how long, and who gets excused for their ignorance is strictly God’s choice…

Sharaabi, if you are saying Islam spread around the globe by playing on peoples' fears of hell and their selfishness to have a bountiful afterlife, why did that rapid growth stop? Why haven't the rest of us been scared and coerced into it?

*This happened a few months ago, this is the sort of attitude developed by those that are EXTREMELY intolerant of others views and condemn each other... This is just a small example. One of the sweepers in our residential block, a pakistani christian, was once arrested because he owed some money to some couselor in our area and the police threatened him that if he does not admit to a 'chori', they will book him for tauheen-e-risalaat. They also tortured him, and used a nail puller to pluck his thumbnails out. *

Christian injured for not reciting kalma
LAHORE: About eight people severely tortured a Christian in Chak 2 (South) near Mandi Bahauddin district for not reciting the kalma. According to a fax sent by the Holy Rosary Church to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), Shahbaz Masih, who worked as a tractor driver for a local landlord, was picked up by several people from his house on the night of April 2 and taken to an undisclosed location. Later, the people told Shahbaz’s family that they had killed him and his body was lying in a field near his village. Shahbaz’s family members went to the location and found the boy alive. They took him to hospital, where he recorded a statement with his family and church authorities. According to the preliminary inquiry by the church, both of Shahbaz’s legs were broken because he refused to recite the kalma.
