Surely, those who believe and the Jews and the Christians and the Sabians - whichever party from among these truly believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good deeds, shall have their reward with their Lord, and no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve.

What are you gonna say about the above verse? Doesn’t it speak against what you’ve stated?

deedawar, I can understand why muslims would think that and say that. Muslims need to understand that I will dismiss the God as a hack who prescribes that thinking. Remember it is tolerance we all seek. Just as you have every right to believe 5/6th of humanity is going to hell. the 5/6th have every right to believe that the God who is this angry, needs a chusni and should be told to behave or no dessert.

Well, the difference is that we talk about ‘people’ and you deliberately or inadvertantly make a mockery of God/Allah/Supreme being.

I stated that there is nothing wrong in believing that good will be rewarded and bad will be punished based on the standard of good or bad we believe in.

I take no offence if someone think I will go to hell based on his/her belief as long as that person is not telling me whille I am minding my own business and I have not yet died!
Muslims don’t go around telling people of other faith that either. Remember, as long as a person is alive, that person has chance of going to heaven if repents.

So in essence, muslims have no reason to think of anyone who is going to hell or heaven. So your theory that muslims think 5/6 population is thought of future hell dwellers is not correct and simply baseless.

On the other hand CURRENT DAY christianity says that EVERY child is a sinner and destined for hell...unless gets baptized or whatever.

Muslims think EVERY child is destined to heaven if died before puberty (or had no mental capacity to understand good from bad if grown up).

Do we see the logical and simple but important difference? See Islam is a just religeon and does not condemn human for being human.

^ they are nuts too... Ofcourse Islam condemns human for being human...meaning having a choice to find their own path towards spirituality outside the rigidity of Islam. SO what does Islam do in that case...it condemns humans who don;t follow it to hell. insecure, shallow..if you ask me. Islam is not about that...it is about the messages not friggin lines of scripture.

its a fact that all non-muslims will go to hell, its a belief common to all muslims and those who deny it or wish to put it in diplomatic colors r only hiding the truth…

I am aware of those arguments where people say…for example
God is like water…called Atlatic at one place by some and pacific by others but sill remains water. Nothing wrong with this analogy in my opinion.

Well,sorry, none of these posts by others you gave examples of had anything what YOU make out of it.

Let me try to clarify those posts. What I see and how I believe is that they are saying that IF ANYONE STAYS NON-MUSLIM or NON-BELIEVER till the time of death then as per Quran and Islamic teachings, that person is going to hell. Sorry if that hurts!

But that does not mean that all who are non-believers and living on this earth are, going to hell.

It also does not mean that every muslim believer is definitely going to heaven either.

We just do not know and cannot comment for sure at this moment.

No sir, Islam is not rigid but its very flexible in many ways.
We (both muslims and non-muslims) make it, or either believe it, being rigid.

I don’t know about that, there seems to be some glee in the self righteousness of some to point out the everlasting fire that awaits others. But I know what you mean because my real tone is to be sad for those who believe God to be so malevolent that he sends 80% of His creation to burn in hell fire.

If the non-Muslims don’t believe in Allah :swt:, his Prophets (May peace and blessings of Allah be upon them) and the Day of Judgement, then I don’t see what’s to be so upset about what Islam says about them?

unfortunately, such beliefs lead to muslims being looked at with suspicion and distrust. no one would want to on too friendly terms with people who condemn them to hell. the same case as bible thumpers, or to a milder extent jehovah’s witnesses and orthodox jews.

on a similar note, if a certain bunch of people believed in certain things about Allah or Prophet Mohammad which were considered blasphemous by muslims, while living amidst them, would muslims just say - so what, let them wallow in their own ignorance? its not “simple as that” after all.
