Anjjan, why do you make inane comments that reek of parochialism? May be you should travel a bit and expand your mind.
May be she previously had some unsavory misconceptions regarding islam, and that the more she read, the more she was able shed her misconceptions.
I also had a lot of misconceptions about hinduism, and I read about it and I realized it wasn’t all about drinking cow piss. SHould i now convert to hinduism?

Ignore and tolerate when someone says others are going to burn in hell? For the run of the mill intransigent perhaps, but not when it comes from a moderator.
“Narrow mindedness” describes your definition of religion (or that of a fundamentalist of any religion who claims exclusivity to salvation). “Insulting” describes the moderator of a religion forum telling others they are going to burn in hell. And finally “arrogance” describes your post. Your arrogance blinds you to what is truly insulting.

Very little of what a fundamentalist says insults or bothers me, as I consider the source. I said it is narrow minded - unless it comes from a moderator. Then it bothers me.

me being a moderator or not has nothing to do with the fact that i am a muslim....
and being a muslim i believe, and have firm faith, in that disbelievers shall face the punishment of hellfire....
this is what Quran tells me, and if i stand alone on one side and the rest of the world all stands alone on the other side, i wont change my view on this, cuz what Quran says is better than what all humans together can think or say....

No, but being a moderator should have everything to do with what you post here and how you present your opinions. No one said you should sacrifice your parochial, fundamentalist views - but as moderator you should refrain from condemning others to hell because they don’t share your opinion or interpretation. And all this in a thread started by a non-Muslim “Islam is a beautiful religion”. Is it your intention to prove her thread title incorrect? Or does your belief of others burning in hellfire somehow make Islam more beautiful?

Every time our resident god opens his mouth its either to condemn someone to hell or to issue their death warrants through these arrogant god-like statements. Why cant we realize that this is forum is as much about other faiths as it is about Islam? How would the Muslims here feel if there was a Christian or a Hindu chhallawa, just like this Muslim one, going around telling Muslims that they were going to burn in hell forever?
Is this the standard way of attracting people to Islam these days? Was this the way of Prophet Mohammed? Where is the humility? What about respecting other people’s faiths and not trying to make them feel bad on every available opportunity?

almost all the surahs revealed in the time when the Prophet (saw) was calling peolpe to Islam (i.e the Meccan period) condemn the disbelievers to hell....
its a fact that all non-muslims will go to hell, its a belief common to all muslims and those who deny it or wish to put it in diplomatic colors r only hiding the truth....

Allah says in the Quran that He has sent Prophet (saw) as "basheer and nazeer" (giver og food news and warner)....
basheer for the believers that they shall get their reward in heaven....
nazeer for the disbelievers that they shall brun in hell....
if i repeat that disbelievers shall burn in hell i follow exactly the very model of the Prophet (saw) and the role that was entitled to him by Allah Almight, wa law kariha al mujrimoon....
