If born Muslim-you go to heaven.
If born Hindu/christian/Jew/Buddhist - you go to Hell !!

Sadiyah sweetie, the point is that armughal has every right to believe that his God will send every non-muslim to hell. Just as I have every right to call armughal's God a petulant child who needs a chusni which I am readily willing to apply. His comment is based on faith..and valid as such...so is mine.
And do change the title from "in Islam" to "of Islam"

Man born into a lower caste (dalit) CANNOT convert to the higher caste (brahmin).
Man born into christianity CAN convert to Islam.

Conversion to higher caste is through marriage (requires the approval of another person)

Great discussion. Enjoyed every bit of it.
Not believeing what is in Quran (according to Quran and off course Islam) and making mockery of what's written in Quran is not good.
Its an example of modator's open-mindedness that it has been allowed on this forum repeatedly.
Why can't semi or PD understand that Muslims believe in Quran and muslim will say what Islam says about people WHO WILL DIE AS NON-MUSLIMS. Even 'muslims' born or converted may go to hell if died in the state of denying Allah as one and all other acts which follow this belief.
I know what christianity says and what christians say about non-christians in general. Its not just pat Robertson or others, the christian majority believes non-christinas will not go to heaven. So sugar coating it just useless.
Now no one is going on street and telling others that they will go to hell. Its a religeous thread about disbelievers of Islam and their fate according to Islam. So why compl about so called 'arrogant, pompous, fundamentalist thinking or whatever?
Islam and muslims do not need certificate from bunch of 'sensitive' people here if Islam or muslims are tolerant of other religeons. History tells it lest non-mulims would not have existed in many parts of the world.
Now since we aalking about arrogant behaviour, Judaism IS the prime example of that.
'Chosen people ' is taken as if only people who will go to heaven are Jews. OR no need to convert people in Judaism as its just not possible to be Jew unless born into it.
Islamic view on the other hand is
1-EVERYONE is born muslim.
2-Parents change children to become non-muslim.
3-EVERYONE has right to heaven if follow certain rules.
4-EVEN people who take good from ALL religeons and follow ONE GOD and believe in ONE GOD they are entitled to heaven. (Al-Baqra Surah... ....describing about 'Saibeen')
Allah (SAW) also says in Quran that do you think you will definitely go to heaven? or Do you think I promised you heaven?
Allah never promised even muslims that they will definitely go to heaven. *
Again, its the Jews who think they were promised the heaven not muslims.
Its only the final day when even muslims will find out if they are worth the heaven.
Having said that, nothing wrong in stating that according to Quran and Islam, non-believers..................
[must include definition of non-believer as someone who does not believe in
One GOD ,
his messangers and the last messanger-PBUH and on ALL;
the Day of judgement,
Hell, Heaven,
his book(s) as they were revealed etc.]
..................who die as non-believer is destined to hell.
Now there is no mockery or disrespect of others as the tone is different here. More like a sad and 'shaking-head' kinda approach.
There are few people who were given news in their lives of going to heaven when they die and those are some of the Prophet's (PBUH) Sahaba (RAA).
It is also said that last minute conversion (when death is inevitable and is known by the person) or repentness may not be accepted by GOD/Allah. Again its upto his judgement or mercy.
A very pious woman was given bad news of going to hell as she did not feed the camel I think by the prophet (PBUH) and a prostitute was given heavenly news as she gave water to a dog. But in general these are exceptions and one must not think..Oh, I will give water to dog and will do whatever evil work I can and still will go to heaven! (Correct me if I misqouted the Hadees)*

We as muslims need to correct ourselves and not think that since we are muslims and do certain things, we will definitely go to heaven. One can only struggle, hope, wish and PRAY!

sunny boi .. allow to me tour u back in 1890z and early 1900z when the record selling book was written by MR STRONG who claimed CHRISTIANITY the purest religion and ANGLO-SEXON the fittest race lol Pat Robertson, Smith and rest of phoneys can run their mouth until their lungs get sour but still cant discard the fact ISLAM is fastest growin religion ever since.

I am not a scholar of religions. Though I know that as per Islam all other religions are false religions.
So if any follower of other religion praises Islam he must accept that his own religion is a false religion.
There can be only two thighs, either you are a Muslim or a non-Muslim, but you remain in a false religion while praising Islam is an absolute hypocrisy.
