Did your mother-in-law.............?

Re: Did your mother-in-law.............?

Sometimes' its not possible for the girl to go shopping with her in laws.. nor is she particularly close to the in laws to be or even the fiance...so i gues she's outta luck :p

Re: Did your mother-in-law.............?

Well, I'm very close to my fiance and pretty good with the inlaws-to-be so I dont think I'll have any major issues. I just wanted to know how other people are doing it these days.

Re: Did your mother-in-law.............?

I agree with u Sara..

hawww.. thats un-cool:p

Re: Did your mother-in-law.............?

My in-laws had kinda disowned their son when we got married so guess who got to pick her wedding dresses and jewelry on her own? Me !

Re: Did your mother-in-law…?

Damn! Did they even attend the wedding?
Oh well, their loss.

Re: Did your mother-in-law.............?

how many days for mayoon?

Def go with u're fiance! But make sure you buy stuff you really want! They can brainwash you like crazy! I ended-up with 5 red/berry color outfits just cuz of HIM!

P.S I don't even wear/like red!

Re: Did your mother-in-law.............?

^ lol...I bet those outfits look great though??? :)

I think between him (fiance) and my father i'll end-up insane! My mother's sick so she can't travel. They are gorgeous ziggy, it's just that I've never really worn red/maroon/berry sigh

But since it's the first wedding from either sides, i'm being extremely spoilt!

Re: Did your mother-in-law.............?

^ "i'm being extremely spoilt!" - and so you should be!...first weddings in the family are always like that :) - I hope your mother feels well soon insh'allah...

Also you never know...you might take a liking to the red/maroon/berry colour one you start wearing the outfits?

Oh yeah, Besides the umer sayeed outfits who else have you ordered from?

Re: Did your mother-in-law.............?

No worries here. I am never influenced by anyone.:p
I do all the influencing:p

i'm sorry to hear that, CA (how are things now?), but on a positive note, i think choosing stuff on your own is the best! i mean, maybe its just me who's a control freak like that but if i don't like things, i won't wear them more than once. i keep getting clothes for christmas and i make it a point to wear it once in front of the people who gave them to me so they can see it, and then i give it to goodwill. and for something as precious as a mehendi/shaadi jora, theres no way i want to be in that position of getting something i might not appreciate.

even for my future sis in law, i'm the one who's going to be doing all the shopping since i'm his big sister and the only one, and my mom is highly indecisive and would take forever to make up her mind. i'm planning to do a ton of research beforehand and make sure i know exactly what it is she's looking for, and then go get her something according to her wishes, but just from us, cos i know mum is hooked on that- as opposed to giving her money so she can go buy her own outfits. i hope i succeed iA in getting her something that she'll love! fingers crossed
