Desi Conception Myth

Re: Desi Conception Myth

From what I know, they keep doing bloodwork to make sure the pregnancy hormone is gone from the body…the Dr explained that it can cause complications if you get pregnant again and the hormone is still there.

Re: Desi Conception Myth

I dont find anything wrong with it actually. So if a lot of us have a lot of knowledge about different things including the most extreme topics like child abuse, rape blah blah…does that mean one is only able to comment over it if goes through the same situation? Thats so sick!! And actually a lot of likes…tsk tsk!!

Re: Desi Conception Myth

drinking milk will make the baby ‘gora’ LOL

Re: Desi Conception Myth

And what is your answer to my little wink at the end…

Re: Desi Conception Myth

No it’s not hte same thing.

It is creepy when a presumably single, virgin male is talking about these things.

Re: Desi Conception Myth

Yes. Also, it was joke at KKF’s expense.

Re: Desi Conception Myth

Its a new tact of hitting someone with prem!!!

Re: Desi Conception Myth

How would it feel if someone from us discusses about a topic related to rape and someone comments, “being a shareef girl, you sure know a lot about rape and its after effects ;)”

Would it not be an offensive sentence??

Re: Desi Conception Myth

My reason for such a post is not to derail the thread. It’s just about requesting to stop hitting each other!! Its not only kkf here who knows a lot about such things being a single man…a lot of us know a lot of things and we don’t fit in “that” criteria too.

Re: Desi Conception Myth

Well, did it at least have blue-green eyes?

Re: Desi Conception Myth

No, Nutella would be too dark. To attain a tan bebe, you have to eat halwa, chai with milk, and brown rice. Eat haleem to get tan-skinned baby with yellow undertones.

More seriously though, milk is applied topically to the skin for its exfoliating and mild bleaching effects as it contains lactic acid. So, perhaps the “milk=fair child” theory arose from this topical observation of milk and maybe the belief that it would have greater impact on the developing baby’s skin as it’s more delicate/ more penetrable. Just a guess.

Re: Desi Conception Myth

i drank green tea today, now i wait for baby.

Re: Desi Conception Myth

sweetmoi your mama must have drank a lot of angeljuice coz you such an angel <3

Re: Desi Conception Myth

@queen_24 is right. One doesn’t need to have had children to have heard these myths. Most people do have sisters, sister-in-laws, or female cousins. It isn’t the middle ages where pregnant women go into confinement for the duration of the pregnancy and no one hears from them during this time. If you have female relatives who have had children, it’s more than likely that you’ve heard such wives tales.

Also, we’re not talking about medical facts that are complex or difficult to understand. Given how absurd and illogical these are, they don’t require any specific “knowledge.” Lol. :hehe:

Someone told me not to eat apples during pregnancy because the iron in apples will make the baby dark.

Re: Desi Conception Myth

Re: Desi Conception Myth
