Yes, people would rather have an unhealthy child (presumably the mom’s lack of iron could affect the baby), than a dark one!

thats sad. I heard the same thing, but not about apples. my cousin was anemic so the dr gave her iron pills, but her MIL told her not to take it because the baby will be dark. the height of jahalat.
