Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

Firstly, In Zia times, American were not killing Pakistanies as they are killing them now...

2ndly, for the discussion sake, if Mardood Zia did pee in his pants, why PPP's leaders is following him in this..they could have let the Pakistani people know that, we are different from ZIA and MUSHY, we take stand for the people and do not pee in our pants... but i guess the reason for resistance was maybe the adult diapers lasted bit long...

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

What a stupid argument. Zia mardood was recruiting taliban and alquaida to fight his masters war against russia. what pakistan is today is due to this mardood's policies. hundereds and thousands of muslims were killed during that bloody war without any advantage to Pakistan. Does "ojri camp" debacle ring some bells into your ears? ?Were you sleeping at that time or were you infant?

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

The PPP has not resisted at all. The comments of resistance have in fact come from the Punjab Government. The Federal Government has gone on official record saying the Punjab Government is responsible for said delays in his release.

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

So now, you are saying because Zia did something wrong, it is mandatory for PPP to do the wrong again.....

again Zia was a made out of turn COA by Bhutto....

as CM said, PPP govt. never resisted an ounce, i have posted thread which have article stating 3 years history of PPP govt treating americans....

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

Again an irrelavent response. Lets see if $ 2billions aid to military and millions of $s payment on war against terror is stopped by US, I will see how much shere punjab has strength to resist. Perhaps Kyani is already in action to do something. Read my post again.

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

Speaking of namardood Zia...Bhutto was the biggest mardood of all...

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

Hey may be but his policies ****ed up our economy for a few more decades. The banking sector, the entire nationalization process etc. The economic holocaust he committed still haunts us till this day.

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

Oh so you don't want pakistanis to have jobs? Chabash bolo Roti, Kapra, Makaan! :)

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

There was reason the Nizam-e-Mustafa got popular among the people at that time and there was few to support him once he was thrown out of power....

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

Are you for real?

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

Lets not divert this to Zia... Let's focus on Rahman Malik (the baboon)... It seems the PPP Federal Govt is trying very hard to release James bond, or whatever this guys name is... The widow of one of the victims also committed suicide today.

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

yeah make more 100 posts here even u all guys know that there is aint any justice system in Pakistan:D:
everyone busy for their own personal interests.

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

So you believe these nizamis would defeat bhutto? Why was ZIA afraid of bhutto's popularuty?

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

Not really, the judiciary is ready to take on the issue. The federal govt, and their allies are the ones trying to get him off the hook.

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

Again a lie and irrelavent response. For your information if you were not born in 1977 when mardood Zai-ul-Haq kicked the elected PM of Pakistan, he promised elections with in 90 days. Nusrat Bhutto who was then acting chairperson in absence of her husband, led the processions in Jhelum, mamoth crowd came to listen to her, was noticed by military halicopters, who reported mardood that there was ocean of people poured in and spreaded over miles and miles. Result: mardood peed in his paints and postponed the elections knowing that this time he will be getting more than 90% of seats. That b@st@rd started persecution of PPP and ultimately killed legally elected PM of Pakistan. Mardood remained in power for 11 years, till he was sent to hell by his masters.

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

What Pakistan is the most peaceful country on the planet?

There is a reason why Pakistan isnt hosting the world cup of cricket

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

What papers need to be presented to show that he is a diplomat? Presumably GoP would have been informed about his status before he was allowed into the country. Are you saying that GoP is unaware of his status? After his arrest the GoP would have informed the U.S mission of his arrest and they have issued a statement that he has diplomatic immunity and should never have been arrested and should be released immediately.

Diplomats can carry a weapon so long as they have a license from the government of the host country.

Number plate of the vehicle was fake? Ok he wasn't using the diplomatic plate for security reason but you cannot say that the number plate was fake.

A diplomat does not have to inform the police or anyone else of his movements within the country and is free to travel anywhere.

Yes you can go out with a gun as many people in Pakistan do, and if you encounter someone that has a gun and you have reason to believe that they will use it on you, and their actions indicate hostile intent then you can act in self defence to protect yourself. It does not have to go to court, the police through their investigation can establish what actually happened, and determine if a conviction would be obtainable or not. If based on the evidence conviction is unlikely then you should be free, actually even while the investigation is taking place you should be free.

Crimes are taking place and people are getting killed everyday in Pakistan. Police is useless in Pakistan so I cannot blame a guy for defending himself in a lawless country.

This guy is not locked up because of the actual events that took place but just because of local politics.

Re: Davis holds diplomatic passport: Malik

Arshad bhai, if he had proper documents of being diplomat then those would've been presented within hours of him being arrested. Neither US embassy could produce such papers nor Pakistan govt had any clue of him being diplomat. There has been significant delay (few days) from being arrested to presenting "diplomat" proof papers (still this is a claim by Rehman Malik, not necessarily verified by independent parties). All this "would/should" didn't happen, so Pakistani police has all the rights to arrest him and prosecute him.

I agree, but no license or permit has been presented to prove that the gun he carried was legal.

"fake" number plate means fake, I am not talking about 'non-diplomat' number plate.

That is what you are saying but from what I am reading in the papers diplomats are required to inform local authorities of their whereabouts, its absurd that people who claim that diplomat can carry gun/shoot in a "dangerous" country like Pakistan but they don't think that diplomats should also keep local authorities aware of their movements for safety.
