Re: Darwin: Man or monkey!!!
I would like to watch a debate between the believers of creationisn from different religion. It will be fun to watch/listen to the arguments and counter arguments.
What I think is that religion is important, its about faith and belief, it's all good - but it is not science.
Re: Darwin: Man or monkey!!!
My stance thus far is that I believe only in evolution of intellectual faculties but not of physical form as in one species mutating into another. I do believe somewhat that the basic concept of natural selection exists and it manifests itself in different species and brings about some physical adaptations and intellectual development. From a religious perspective I believe Allah SWT created everything. We do not know how he did it all and sciences and theories such as evolution are just attempts at figuring that out. They somewhere between science and religion. All species have some basic building blocks but I do not think a fully developed species itself is a building block for another one.

Bro Psyah
Nice replies. There is just one paragraph in your post I think is not a fair assessment. I’ve emboldened it.
I think its our instinct to survive and humanity that causes us to look after our own species and work for its betterment. Its just that our instinct to survive manifests itself a little different than other forms of life because of our intellectual superiority. Humans even look out for the survival of other endangered species. If something threatens the human race or if we face extinction I am sure you will see a race for survival among humans as well.
Re: Darwin: Man or monkey!!!
I am all for it (without participating)... bring the evidence, both sides...
FYI: laqad khalaqna al-insaan-a fiii aHsan-i taqweem Certainly We created the human in a good/very-good/better/comely/well-conducted forming/worthing/process/rise/staying/making-right
Notes to creationists :) - aHsan does not mean perfect

Re: Darwin: Man or monkey!!!
My own personal view is that evolution is correct from a single cell to a human.
Re: Darwin: Man or monkey!!!
Hi The Old Man, how are you long time brother,
Can you please elaborate on it, and out of curiosity does believing in evolution fall into what faith we believe in.

According to me (and not to mainstream Christianity) Genesis 1 makes complete provision for evolution from plant life to animals to humans. I have no problem with evolution as it is taught except that God DID have a part to play. Exactly the part where evolutionists have no clue off, i.e. original matter, soul, and spirit.
Normally the three monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) believe that the universe and all in it was created/made/originated by an Almighty God. To take God completely out of the equation is unthinkable for these religions.
I suppose various other religions will also tend to try and answer the question of where life comes from in different ways, i.e. Hinduism, Buddhism, etc.
