Chalka Chalka Re is such a nice song! I danced to it on a mehndi myself.
Do you want to do a solo or can you do a skit with other people?

my friends and i did a remix beginning with-chaney ke keth mein- aja nachle, then mast kalander(from heyy baby) and ended with the song 2 step bhangra-
if ur practicing with ur family around then it wuld b weird bc there listening to each lyric slowly and u have to make a step for each word- but if ur performing it to aunties not many of them wouldnt catch each word.. mayb u shuld practice without them having to know-- b like ill surprise u- just look at the dance dont focus on the song ;) lol good luck

xoxo Zara xoxo Mehndi laga ke Rakhna is a great song but believe it or not my grandmas sis told me not to have it ant my wedding because of its inappropriate meaning. Also, its too overdone. I have heard it at at least 10 mehndis. I want to be a bit more original. I wanted to do a classic old song but then thuis bride does not know old songs and would not appreciate it. I am going to do a classic old song at my other cousins wedding not this one b/c the other bride (whose wed date isn’t even set yet) loves old songs and would appreciate it more.

PSquared-I am going to be doing a solo. I have done many group dances before and some solos but this will be a solo because I don’t live in the same state as most of my young female cousins who will have been practicing for at least two months and I am arriving the day before the mehndi hence I won’t get to practice with any of them 
Sali786-chane ke kheth main has very “unapropriate” meanings. I’m not going to go into the meanings but its all about something that is considered “haram” for us.. I mean I am not some religious freak, just an average Muslim but I just want to be very careful I don’t choose a too behuda song..my family is more on the conservative side.

Someone already danced to dola re at my cousins wedding and chand sifarish is sung by a male. Anywho I just thought of a song..maybe sajan k ghar jaana he? I loove this song but am banned from doing it because the whole song is talking about how shy the girl is of the guy touching her and the guy is saying he really wants to and why should she she be shy when they r lovers..Khair, I found some decent songs and am gonna remix them..thanks everyone for your help. Also, if anyone has other great suggestions let me know. Once again, here is my criteria:
- should be fairly new (newest to 6 years old)
- Female lead singer
- No innapropriate lyrics about obvious things and no Hindu gods/rituals discussed in lyrics (like no maya yashoda, or Radha kaise na jale, or ram teri dulhan etc)
- no old songs
- Don't suggest Mehndi Hai Rachnewali (have seen this done at 5 mehndis) or mehndi laga ke rakhna
- I don't want songs with English lyrics like Be My Love jane jana or desi girl or its rocking etc.
