Re: dancing boys of afghanistan

@nikhil25

how can anyone think this is not a function of sexual repression?

there are two questions to be asked when analyzing afghan pederasty:

1. why is it that their targets are males and not females?
2. given that they are pursuing sex with males, why are they interested in boys and not men?

the answer to question #1 is self-evident: they simply do not interact with females due to strict segregation and extreme conservatism. this also applies to married men who obviously have access to a woman - for them a dancing boy serves the same purpose as a mistress or prostitute does to a married man in the west. they have no access to other women but plenty of access to these boys.

the answer to question #2 is that pre-pubescent boys are much better facsimiles of women than are grown men. the dancing boys are totally feminized…they are dressed in women’s clothes and accessories and they are taught to dance and act like women. the masters/perpetrators are not homosexuals. same logic behind the universal phenomenon of straight men having gay sex with each other in prisons in every country on earth - it’s because they simply have no access to women.

to think segregation/sexual repression is just a coincidence and does not facilitate phenomena such as bacha bazi is simply preposterous.

:k: and to constantly suggest that religion plays no role in this is also preposterous.
