haha.. ditto thaz wot i was thinkin.. just cus he knows cookin dusnt mean she shudnt worry abt it. ultimately its her job to feed the family. he cant cook everyday

whats so lagaye bhujaye in it? where does it say that a woman HAS to cook for her husband especially if he can cook well? I am not asking her not to cook ever, I am just telling her not to worry about it too much.. they are not going to starve!

@ mall, the case is not all about getting expert I feel bored when I am cooking, my husband says that I am a good cook (might be appreciating). whatever I made , even if it turns out to be something outclass tab bhi I can’t eat. (shayad pakatay huye hi dil bhar jata hai) :s

anyway finally I have realized that it’s not my thread so I better keep quiet.

Would you give same mashwara to a guy who is asking "oh ... my wife to-be is making 80k yearly, I am wondering how can I get good job?" ...will you say to him ...well SHE is earning good...why do you worry? You dont have to worry at all...

aww thaz a pity… i think its not healthy that u dun eat ur own food.. many times i dun like mine too but majority of times i eat it. i think its abt motivation. maybe u feel ur hubs is just sayin to make u happy. sit down and ask him if he really likes ur cookin and cook dil se.. i swear cookin CAN b fun.. its all abt experimenting. u fall u get up and u learn.. u dun just lay there on the ground. i think ur self esteem is low abt ur own food… its not gonna b gud for future.. ab shadi hogayi hai so u will cook only so u HAVE TO get used to ur cookin some day or another.

another thing i always had one cookin rule, if u also adopt it u will b able to learn more dishes and will b satisfied : try not to ever use shan masalas. i know GS posters swear by them and i respect that completly but i m givin my POV. i m a bit egoist abt my cookin and i hate that the credit shud go to shan masala when i cook so i have NEVER in my life cooked with shaan (esp infront of guests).. i have only made pulao from shan thaz it!! i know ppl are gonna argue ke mein apne masalay bhi dalti ho but honey still dusnt make it ur own dish… u took help of shan so u like it or not, the credit goes to it also. anyway try cookin urself so that will keep u motivated and trust me the pleasure of hearin compliments for ur own recipe dishes is OUT OF THIS WORLD!! all my tikkas and other well known dishes are as a result of my own creativity. just try it once.. mujhe duahein de rahi hogi phir.. hehehe

awwww… you are sooo sweeet mall for giving these lovely advices!!! So good to know that there are girls who are now on the way to be expert cooks and i’ll be there one day!!
I’ll definitely try not to rely on shan, my mum only uses shan for biryani.

It is a big deal. I wouldnt like my husband to do all the cooking everyday. I would very much like it when im not feeling well, have overtime etc. I find it cute when men cooks once in a while.

yay…u go girl!!! my pleasure dear.. thx for the duahs dun worry, take it slow and steady.. nobody learnt from their mother’s womb!! keep tryin.. it mite take u atleast 2 yrs or more before ppl can actually strt appreciating ur efforts.. but it will b worthwhile in the end trust me!

It will happen.

I was NOT into cooking or even stepping into the kitchen at one point but I learned and now enjoy it because it can actually be fun when you're cooking for your own family.

One trick when you're working is cooking double the amount sometimes and freezing half of it for a day when you are just too tired or exhausted to cook. My mom does that and she always has back up in case we have been out all day or she hasnt been home to cook.
