What is the ruling for the usage of those things which ingredients include fats of animals? If possible then please name that product etc.

I try to follow muslimconsumergroup.com It has very detailed description of various products and ingredients. Sometimes i feel they are a bit harsh on declaring stuff haram but again, i dont hv much idea myself

I think most Muslim groups in non-Muslim countries have a fairly comprehensive list of halal, haraam items. It would be best to check with each country individually.

Allow me to simplify my question. Lets say a product contains one of any two (mentioned below) or both ingredients from animal fats. So consumption of any kind of animals fats (either halal or haraam) permissible or impermissible?
What is ‘Palmaitic Acid, Stearic Acid’?
**Palmaitic Acid: **a solid saturated fatty acid obtained from palm oil and other vegetable and animal fats.
**Stearic Acid: **a solid saturated fatty acid obtained from animal or vegetable fats.

Gelatine which is normally haram, if the marking is there for halal gelatine we can use it.

I haven’t seen product labeled with “Halal Galatine” so far, so I’ll assume your answer as ‘impermissible’.

^ then we should take it as haram..it could contain pig or animals not slaughtered. Halal gelatine is made from vegetarian sources.

Okay I was listening a lecture of an Indian who said not to use any ornament creams because it is made by the fat of pig. He mentioned ‘fair & lovely’ made in India including many other creams. Interestingly when I read read ingredients mentioned on ‘fair & lovely’ and googled on web, I was shocked that he was telling truth. That is why I opened this thread. Here is the photo:

edible items: it is obvious that fats from haram animals is not permissible but I don’t think there is any problem with halal animal fat. Blood is specifically prohibited in Quran.
