I find it so interesting that muslims obsess over the source of an INGREDIENT in a product never mind all the processing that happens. Meanwhile if we could only put this much effort in our behavior with each other and community building and being there for each other in support.

If we listen to the junkie stuff, then our minds become junkie. If we eat junkie food, then our body became junkie and if we use junkie products then surely our body will become junkie. In short ‘waste of our money’ for which we will be questioned.
It is related to our behavior and we must know for our goodness.

Similarly… what about medication containing alcohol?
Or other narcotics?
How about capsules? (since it’s a gelatin casing)
If it’s only being used for medicinal purposes, does it make it OK?
