Thanks for the link. I read through it. The analysis seems to be detailed but lacking in a few areas:
What the current provinces need is more autonomy – of course in hyper sensitive Pakistan, autonomy = secession..however with greater autonomy, we will see 1 or 2 provinces flourish due to the provincial politicians and civil administrators having greater leeway in decision making.
Anyways it was a good read – definitely plausible but not sure if it is a good plan for Pakistan.

Why make provinces on ethnic basis to create more hatred in already wounded Pakistan. Better is to pass more powers at Division levels for managing resources properly.
Why MQM not demanded for separate province when they were in Government. Within a month after quitting government, they started provoking ppl for call of a separate province. Kiya unhe achanak se ilhaam hua ke Karachi sooba nahin bana to aasman gir pare ga!
Shame on such a hypocrite and blackmailing attitude!

Allegations are easy to make. Difficulty is to prove them. Karachi violence can not be blamed on one party alone.

The difference is connection to the city. Someone born and raised in a place is more sincere to his hometown than others. It is only natural.

BTW, connection sirf ek jaga pe paida hone aur wahan palne se nahin paida hota balke, connection paida hone ke liye aur bhi wajoohaat ho sakti hain.. Jaise Urdu speaking community Dilli ki maqammat, Khuwaja Nizam U din aur Ammer Khusro ke mazaraat. Lucknow ka lehja, Hyderabad Dakkan ke khane own karti hai, iss tarah se Sindh main rehne wale Shah Latif ke kalaam main mojud Karachi (kolachi), iss main zikr kiye gae Karachi ke maqamaat se dili tor per jurre hue hain. Chahe unhon ne kabhi Karachi dekha ho ya nahi, they own it.
Providing education to exploited ppl is not only the responsibility of PPP, but all the parties including MQM, jo kabhi Bhitt Shah main grand jalsa kara ke credit lene jati hai to kabhi yeh statement deti hai ke unhon ne hamesha Sindh ke logon ke huqooq ki baat ki hai. If it is so, MQM should come with some practical measures instead of mere daawe baazi.

MQM has not asked Karachi to be a seperate province. So stop making stuff up. The PPP has asked for a Seriaki province, supported by Lota League.
Most Urdu speaking Muhajirs would oppose a Karachi province, because it would cause a bloodbath in Sindh. That Dakoin ka Raja Zulfiqar Mirza will make sure that there are systematic attacks on the Muhajir community in places like Mirpur Khas, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Thatha and Sanghar. Only half of Sindhs Urdu speakers live in Karachi, the rest live in the Interior. So lets stop all this talk of a Karachi Province.

If they hadn't say that and they hadn't provoked ppl for that then why they didn't come up with a strong & clear statement against a chalking demanding that absurd thing (having bad consequences as mentioned in your post). Aap to jante hi honge, Khamoshi neem raza mandi hai aur past main Jinah Pur jaise ilzamaat ko madd e nazar rakhte hue MQM should have disowned such demand at its earliest.

Another rumour spread, with out any evidence. However, it is true that Muhajirs came out worse by partition. The Sindhi and Punjabi Hindus that went to India were assimilated and provided assistance by the Government of India. The Muhajirs were left to fend for themselves. I was talking to my great uncle, who said he was taught by an undergraduate at Karachi University in 1951. His teacher at Allahabad was a PhD. So we have made huge sacrifices for this country, and yet received very little. So if I complain about Pakistan, then that is might right. But we are the only community that has and will continue defend this land.

Jinahpur was a fairy tail, made up by the ISI. What makes you think General Pasha and his crew are not behind this one, or are you scared of the ISI.

You know as well as anyone the vast majority of mohajirs were from slums, and were running for their life from the Hindu mobs. Just like present day, the Muslims in India make up the poor, uneducated class.
Unlike the Baloch, native Sindhis, Mohajirs have not been discriminated against in all important govt positions, especially in the Army.

I just say it was ilzaam (as you confirmed. The matter is not clear todate, so I won't go in details) and now again MQM name is being taken for demand of Karachi Sooba. Why has MQM not come with its point of view for or against this demand. Are they scared of losing their vote bank or what!

Care to provide evidence for this. Generally most acedamic works refer to the fact that UP Muslims were over represented in the state beauracracy, many were important feudals.
I think you are confussing the UP Muhajirs with those of East Punjab, who were mainly slums dwellers of Patiala, Jallandhar and Amritsar. Having said that most East Punjabis have done well, and are a hard working lot, even though they have produced a few idiots like Shahid Masood, Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif, and contributed a lot to Pakistan.
