If you dig deeper and analyze, we don't dress up the same way when we are out at a party or attending a special occasion. Simple as that…

What? Seriously...what are you talking about BSB? If you are fine with wearing a freaking dress, why did you make this thread? If you want to wear it - wear it. Your husband is liberal...ok, got it. Now stop trying to make excuses for him.

Your last post made no sense either...yes, people wear different outfits depending on that ocassion/event. No one disputed that in this thread. However, being asked to dress a specific way, which you yourself stated makes you uncomfortable...is not going to be perceived as "wow so liberal....much liberation". Sheesh. I don't want to offend you...but really this thread is pointless looking at all your posts..

Yes, some desi men do think that way. My husband who was born and raised in Pakistan in a conservative family (we live in the US now)would like me to dress in revealing clothes in public. I have not dressed that way because I am not comfortable. One another friend also met a desi guy who wanted her to dress provocatively in public ( potential rishta).

Anyway coming back to your issue, it's not. Major bone of contention between us, I have offered to dress that way in private for him but he says that's no use.

OP - Where are you going for your honeymoon? Some place tropical? Will he ask you to wear a bikini? Perhaps you should check with him now what his preferences are in regards to that as well....just to ensure you two are on the same page!
