I was just wondering why dont these guys who want to "fit in" with the gora culture marry someone from their own social circle - someone who already wears dresses and is outgoing and stuff. Why get a relatively conservative bride and mould her so he can fit in?
Sounds like he couldnt get the girls in his social circle or they were too much for him to handle or something.

Most guys in the West really don't worry that other men might look at their wives.. they don't sit there thinking about it how angry they'd get if someone gives her the eye.. They have a different mentality, not better or worse, just different..
Thats a more rational mentality - To not worry about how many men check out their wives but about who their wife is checking out.

Her implication that having a wedding in Hyatt or Marriott is some kind of high status thing, is why I am suspecting Pakistan. Hyatt and Marriott are pretty average hotels here. Who from here, actually thinks like that? Most weddings are held in banquets or hotels anyway. Where else do people have weddings.

Neither Hyatt, nor Marriott are low scale hotels.in USA, especially Grand Hyatt chain and Marriott resorts.
