The dichotomy of culture and creed is likely to play havoc on the personalities of the kids even if Mother is sincerely trying to nurture them in a way you hope.

How is it a bad deed to go on to marry? Am pretty sure it's better to marry the person you're dating than dump them then marry someone else - in terms of religion as well..

whether you and me dislike it, ppl still marry non-muslim girls giving the reasoning that they are "Ahl-e-kitab"
though nor these holybooks are present in their real form neither we can justify the actions of followers of these holybooks not as shirk.
anyone who possess muslim name doesnt make him a muslim...its our taqwa, iman and actions that defines us. so it really doesn't bother me if any muslim brother wants to marry a non-muslims girl (cuz they never looked into actual facts to begin with)

I think you missed the point, I did't not say " getting married is somehow bad".
Marrying a non-Muslim is not happily permitted in our religion, that makes it "bad", on the other hand dating is pavement to illicit relationship which is , of course, is bad also.
You are only comparing the evils and opting for a lesser one.

We always find a very convincing rationale for our actions, no matter how good or bad our actions are. My liking or for that matter disliking is rather non-existent in this regard.

I did't say it bothers me either, all I said ,in simple words, was that raising a kid as Muslim in a family of non-Muslims is incomprehensible, leaving aside the debate of taqwa and Iman.
