Complexion of the 'Larka'

Re: Complexion of the 'Larka'

Nope..the skin tone does not matter!

Re: Complexion of the ‘Larka’

So let me get this straight, all you ladies are saying you would have no problem marrying a guy who is lets say Muslim, tall, educated, rich and all other qualities but of a dark skin colour? . Ok, then, so what do you think about this guy. He is a famous Indian actor on US Television, considered handsome. Let’s say that this guy is muslim and has all the other qualities, can anyone of you honestly say that you and your parents and our closed minded society would have no problem with it?. Be honest and don’t forget how racist and bigoted our society really is. All the aunties would be like " Hai Hai dekho Salma ka damad kitna kala hai"

Re: Complexion of the 'Larka'

^ Lol my fiance is dark like him, my parents didnt have a problem with it, though me and my mum are quite fair my father is dark. You go on like all pakistanis are fair or something. That guy is quite fit anyway but my man is wayyyyyy better, I've always "melted" for the chocolate kind. :D

Re: Complexion of the ‘Larka’

I don’t see what the big deal is? Yeah I would. Like I said…overall package and appearance is what matters to me, and I think, for most people men and women

Re: Complexion of the ‘Larka’

Education and family have always been important. I dont remember a time when they werent…even in our parents’ generations.

That man is actually not bad looking at all. If he was Muslim, I would consider him provided his personality was also nice.

Re: Complexion of the 'Larka'

how can we answr this q ? .. we're not buying a 'product' .. i cnt say who'll ill like or who ll like me .. its not this simple like o mommmy look i wana buy that toy ! .. lol

Re: Complexion of the 'Larka'

I'm really fair whereas my significant other is a lot more tanned. In general though I always found darker skinned guys more attractive...I don't know why..just a preference I suppose.

Re: Complexion of the ‘Larka’

Lol my fiance is as dark as him but not that rich or handsome but u are right in one thing my family in pakistan cant understand I am marrying him but my family here doesnt care that he is dark

Re: Complexion of the ‘Larka’

That guy looks fine, if he was a nice person then I would have no problem. Although I would force him to get a decent haircut and do something about that stubble, either go clean shaven or grown a beard.

Re: Complexion of the ‘Larka’

You fail to see the hottie he’s got on his arm. Without being racist or bigoted, one of them mallu/tamil guys would make a better example.

Re: Complexion of the 'Larka'

I think it's a question of personal preference isn't it... whatever attracts you... tanned or fair... it's different for every person.
My tendency to be attracted to less tannish men is seen as weird among my friends... since most of them go for the tall, dark, handsome type...

Still I can clearly see that the man in that picture is quite good looking... even if he's not my type.

Re: Complexion of the 'Larka'

I noticed but I did not want to open the whole 'is sarab a boy debate' again

Re: Complexion of the 'Larka'

I want a gora chitta, dhoodh kay rang jesa larka for myself.

The one like when you see him, u say ,' hai hai dekho, hadeel ka husband kitna Sakht gora hai!'

Re: Complexion of the 'Larka'

There should be a "click" in mind and heart of both boy and girl for each other. Now if that click is because of "fair complexion" I dont see any problem with that but sanely speaking, complexion should not be the only tick on the list.

Personally to me, it was not a deciding factor.

Re: Complexion of the 'Larka'

Same here.. He's not really my type but I can imagine a lot of girls would fancy him..

I'm attracted to loads of black and mixed-race guys..

Re: Complexion of the 'Larka'

PakWoman, I think the term " tall, dark handsome" used mostly in the west is generally misunderstood by some Pakistanis. It is used by whites living in the west, while referring to men from places like Italy, Middle East, Latin America. These men are not dark by an means by our standards in Pakistan, in fact they are much lighter than the average Pakistani. They do not refer to the dark people from India and Pakistan. Thought I cleared up this misconception.
