COAS and International visits

Re: COAS and International visits

I know Zardari is pain in --- butt, but I am not fan of him either. Rest I agree with you except such visits should be audited to find out what good it has brought to Pakistan.

^ Introduction | Pakistan Military Accounts Department

Re: COAS and International visits

And you think military accounts working under CAOS will bring any irregularity committed by its chief :cb: What a joke.

Re: COAS and International visits

PPP believe in corruption therefore you also think that everyone in Pakistan is corrupt like PPP…

Re: COAS and International visits

Where did I say that??? zehni ikhtelaaj eh!

Re: COAS and International visits

You did not say, but you show no trust on account department. This is because PPP have leaders who admit openly that corruption is their right.
You have problem, when Army chief visits Sri Lanka.

Re: COAS and International visits

Errr…I can speak from personal knowledge. Unlike political parties, military has its own very strict internal anti corruption system. Most of the corrupt officials are quietly dealt with and these things are never disclosed to the media.

The top rank is just too closely watched for obvious reasons.

Re: COAS and International visits

That was enough rest is garbage and bs.

Re: COAS and International visits

You have no other argument left.

Your leader Zardari is open book of corruption. Rehman Malik is open book of falsehood. Qaim Ali Shah open book of insensitive man.

Re: COAS and International visits

to bhai arrest karo na.......

Re: COAS and International visits

Aray bhai ager mera bas chaly to sabko arrest karwa don. Mager jitna main aik eman dari say kar sakta hon main wohi kar raha hon.

Re: COAS and International visits

This case is still pending. I can add tons of corruption practices. Where is very strict internal anti corruption system???

NLC scandal

THE financial scandal at the army-run National Logistics Cell which caused a loss of nearly Rs1.8bn through illegal investments between 2004 and 2008 was back in the news on Saturday. Chairman NAB Fasih Bokhari told a press conference that the three generals implicated in the scam could be court-martialled by the army — if the army’s separate investigation produced evidence of serious wrongdoing. This is simply not good enough. The army’s investigation was announced in November 2010 at a time when it was believed that the parliamentary Public Accounts Committee under the chairmanship of Chaudhry Nisar was about to announce its own findings. November 2010 to July 2012 is long enough to have determined who in the army-run NLC was responsible for the losses suffered by the organisation and what criminal prosecution they should face — there being virtually no doubt that some financial malfeasance was involved.

Re: COAS and International visits

I am deadly against any corruption by civilians, bureaucrats, and army. I have always condemned this nuisance without distinction. Read my posts on corruption.

Re: COAS and International visits

It is height of ignorance and simply lack of first hand knowledge and experience to think Pakistan army would have managed to keep up the continued investment in technical developments (hello drone technology?), modernising programmes, upgrade of weaponry and military aircraft, missile development, scope of technical research and world class professional training and continued combat missions if its own budget was being eaten up by corrupt serving generals! The military unlike any civilian institutions is supremely good with tracking its budget and making the most of it. Yes, the officials do enjoy perks, and they are looked after, but that’s about it. No stealing is allowed. Wish politicans could also follow their example.

So yes, Army has a very strict system to catch the rats from their institution while they are still under their jurisdiction. Hence the reason why you see some big guns only try do corruption in civil projects.

Re: COAS and International visits

Unfortunately we can know only about the corruption of the civilians
I assure you the others are not less

Re: COAS and International visits

Sorry, but Army has legalized corruption. Instead of stealing, they make things 'halal' for themselves.

Re: COAS and International visits

Spot on!

Re: COAS and International visits

Does the army get sent straight from heavens aka Angels that it can't be corrupt? FC was still riding in open air pickups wearing shalwar kamiz not so long ago when funds were given for their modernization. Some were probably diverted to army's conventional forces, but there can easily be corruption just like in the Ukrainian tank deal in the nineties or the Agosta contract that might have caused the 2002 bombing against French in Karachi

Re: COAS and International visits

That's a different issue. I stand corrected that Army has a very strict internal anti corruption system to ensure their military budget is not eaten by corrupt officials.

Re: COAS and International visits

In that case, shouldn’t the budget be made more transparent?

Pakistan is ranked one of the lowest in the world in terms of military budget transparency.
