Re: COAS and International visits

LETS ACCEPT IT

Call it incompetency of our politicians to resolve problems or call it overzealous nature of our army but whatever the reason is, lets accept that there has been a soft military coup in Pakistan since last 12 months.

Kayani was also making shots in zardari era but in a very subtle way but Raheel Sharif has taken it to a different level. He seems to be done with our politicians . This started with pathetic Nawaz sharif and Imran Khan both supporting negotiations with taliban at any cost and delaying military operation. One night Raheel said "hell with you guys" and started the operation and then embarrassed nawaz and imran joined the bus as well.

Every visiting delegation these days to Pakistan will go to the military HQ to meet Raheel sharif (and in some cases the delegation will meet raheel sharif first even before meeting the PM). The govt has accepted this soft coup to avoid the complete martial law.

Re: COAS and International visits

Yeah
They got it from the script . They have pets which they use , Unchanged Story of Pakistan . Shareefs compromised because they can not struggle

Re: COAS and International visits

Aur app ko har Wardi kay peechy Zia hi nazar aata hia… Can you please explain why he should not to visit Sri Lanka?

Why should not he meet to President and PM of Sri Lanka? Countries buy their equipment for defense even when the don’t have any threat from other countries.
You guys never seen positive in news, and want to make conspiracy theory against Pakistan Army. I am not say that criticizing is prohibited, but chingi main mingi nikalna behavior is so annoying. Please bring fact instead of bogus theories.

…Singh …started his visit by calling on Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse. He also met Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne, minister of external affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris and secretary of defence Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, an Indian official said…

Unfortunately they don’t have history like that.

Re: COAS and International visits

I was just answering a question. Nothing to do with history.

Re: COAS and International visits

I think India and Srilanka has old history of relationships. Tamil Nado was the main issue then and interference by former PM of India Rajiv Gandhi cost him his life. Rest of of these small countries are more like colonies of India except Singapore where perhaps Indian army chief visiting security provided by him on the request of Singapore government. Again Singapore and India has very old realtionships. These examples are not an excuse for Sharif to act as civilian do ser sappata on government expenses issuing political statements, though Sharif and his Mumnoon are his personal khansamas.

Re: COAS and International visits

So who should control our foreign policies - Nawaz Sharif? The man who still can't give a speech without reading off a paper (badly)

Hope no one from PPP or PMLN ever get to influence any of our foreign dealings.

Imagine Nawaz negotiating intelligence sharing pacts with Afghanistan, China.

ffs :D

Re: COAS and International visits

First you told protocol , now you are saying that Sri Lanka and other neighboring countries are like colonies of India. :nook:

Bas soi army par akar toti hia kay foreign visit kion horahay hian… American generals also meet President and PM of Pakistan …

Re: COAS and International visits

Look... if you say that military should not intervene in civilian businesses, I would agree with you. If you say military should stay away from politics, I would agree with you. If you say military has no business running housing societies, fertilizer plants, cement factories, schools, etc., I would 100% agree with you.

But if you say that military chiefs do not go on foreign visits and not engage with leadership of foreign countries, I would disagree with you. The examples I gave were relevant because Pakistani military chief visited Sri Lanka causing much pain to people. It wasn't ser sapata either. Ser sapata is going to France to look at your mansion while people drown in floods in Pakistan.

I get it that you don't like generals for several reasons. I would agree with most of those reasons but you don't have to invent more reasons for it.
