cleaning tips ...anyone ????

How do you clean your stove ?
Mine gets very greasy and oily especially after my husband does the cooking. I like the fact that I did not have to cook but I hate the cleaning afterwards. I use the dishwashing liquid to clean.
But I would like to get some tips on quick and fast cleaning and removing the grease quickly.
I do use the aluminun foil on stove plates and hate changing those too. It is such a long chore but atleast I dont have to clean the plates everyday.

Also how do you clean the microwave ?
Any other “totka” regarding cleaning is also appreciated

Re: cleaning tips ...anyone ????

yes i use aluminium foil n simply loved it n my stove is all covered wth aluminum foil :D bc i dont like cleaning stove, i simply use tht kitchen cleaning liquid for stove, n for micrwave i use the dishwashing liquid

Re: cleaning tips ...anyone ????

best tip would be to spray some kitchen cleaner onto the stove let it set for a couple of minutes then wipe,,,,, you will need to apply the kitchen cleaner again to get a better finish

For the microwave its easy a few squartz of kitchen cleaner and wipe...:)

Re: cleaning tips ...anyone ????

For the microwave: mix water, few drops of dish washing liquid and a few drops of lemon juice. Heat in microwave for two mins and then let sit for five mins after its heated, as to let the steam work. Ten just wipe down with a paper towel...super clean microwave!

I've always used easy-off on my stove top.

I did this yest for the first time. Fired the maid. So for the first time have no help.

My mom does not like the look of aluminium foil on the stove top.Too bad. I'm not gonna scrub everyday.

Also Jif / Cif whatever its called these days is a pretty good cleaner. Just allow it to sit on the stove for some time.

Np :)

Re: cleaning tips ...anyone ????

i used to use aluminium foil and would change it every time it got dirty but that was such a waste of foil so now i just clean it every other day with antibacterial surface cleaner and a cloth. Same with the microwave!

Re: cleaning tips …anyone ???

Best tip to keep your stove clean, is to clean it daily. Just couple of paper towels and 2 minute of your time will keep your stove clean. If some liquid fall on the stove top, clean it up before it dries up. And if you really have tough grease on the stove, use Easy-Off. This is the best product for stove/oven cleaning that I have ever came across.

Personally I do not like stove top lined with aluminum foils simply because it hides all the beauty of your stove. Its like keeping your sofas covered with some bed-sheet and only remove it when you have guests over.

Cleaning microwave is easy. I put (microwave safe) bowl full of water and run it for couple of minutes so it creates steam inside. As soon as 2 minutes are overs, I just wipe clean the microwave from inside. I just avoid using any cleaning products inside the microwave. When it can be done with plain steam, why not?

Final totka to keep things clean is to keep your wife happy. Buy her a gift or two every weekend.

Re: cleaning tips ...anyone ????

any tip for tile grout cleaning i am talking about floor.

Re: cleaning tips ...anyone ????

^ totally depends on the frequency of cleaning. You need different products if you clean it regularly and different if its once in couple of months thing...

Re: cleaning tips ...anyone ????

tell me both :p

Re: cleaning tips …anyone ???

If its bath area tiles, daily shower spray does magic. Using it after every shower (perhaps takes 30 seconds) will save u time and energy on big cleaning day (once a month?)

If big cleaning day is the only cleaning day, then it will be really big. Wet the tiles, sprinkle powdered bleach and leave it for 5 minutes. after that wet the sponge and use it to scrub any grease etc…

PS: Or teach your husband how to do it…
