Christians persecuted in Iraq by Muslim extremists

AFP: Kidnapped Christian doctor released in northern Iraq: police

But no outrage is present from Muslims. Do the resident Islamists on here care to tell me the crime of Christians in Muslim countries? Christians continue to flee in droves from Iraq and Pakistan yet Muslims continue to claim they are persecuted by the “kuffar”. The same “mujahideen” that some Pakistanis gloat about in Iraq is doing this ethnic cleansing, but it doesn’t bother them because to them all Christians should be wiped out, right?

Re: Christians persecuted in Iraq by Muslim extremists

i feel sleepy yawwwwwwwwwwn

So a ban on head scarfs in government buildings is horrible yet ethnic cleansing, which is what Islamists in Iraq are doing, is just fine???

dhj thanks for posting. I will write to my congressional representatives. Hopefully we can allow them asylum here. Christians and Jews have been driven out of every Arab country in droves, aside from Lebanon. Egypt used to have a huge Christian population; it is now only 10% Christian.
Around 800,000 Christians lived in Iraq at the time of the invasion, but their number has since shrunk by around a third or more as members of the minority community have fled the country
well u would like to talk for me?
ok then go ahead since u know wht i think
and u are so kind to speak on behalf of me
i need not to say anything
u may continue with your imagination what i think about islamists and other things

You complained about a measly ban on religion in government buildings yet are silent on ethnic cleansing. Why? Islamists did the same thing in Sudan and are more gradually in other places in the Middle East. Why do you think there are no Jews left in the Middle East and why there are so few Christians in the region, aside from Lebanon and Egypt (where they are declining due to state persecution in all aspects of life. For instance, Muslims can build mosques whenever they want and easily but Christians must get permission from the president to build a church.)?

Re: Christians persecuted in Iraq by Muslim extremists

well i am not Sudan
I did nothing to the jews
i did not kill a hindu
nor christian
if u would have any sence of fairness u would not ONLY
talk about islamic extremism but u would also mention
attrocities committed by extremist Hindus in India
Christians procecuted by Hindus in India?
Or am i wrong that no Christian procicution is going on in India by Extremist Hindus?
:)

just be fair
nothing more
say whatever u wanna say
but then be fair to everybody buddy

India's leader is a religious minority. You are comparing the situation of minorities there to that in Pakistan or that in Saudi Arabia (where it is illegal for a citizen to be a non-Muslim)? There are degrees of discrimination and the worst religious discrimination is in the Muslim world. For instance, only Muslim nations outlaw conversion out of Islam--often with a penalty of death. No Buddhist or Hindu or Christian country has such a law.

Re: Christians persecuted in Iraq by Muslim extremists

dhj786- truth hurts. Although many Muslims you'll talk to deny the cow in front of their noses, the Takfiri groups within the Muslim communities is an ugly reality. Even though they are a minority, they are illiterate to an extent that they do not spare innocent women and children nor even the worshipers in the mosque, let alone the Christians/Hindus (whom they probably see destined for hell anyway).

We as Muslims need to walk the talk on this very important humanitarian issue or the future will be even darker for us. Thankfully we do have some great personalities like in Iraq there is Seyyed Ali Al Sistani who has earned respect from all the political and religious factions of the Iraqi society for his absolute humanist, broad-minded, and rational approach in the most difficult of circumstances- under Saddam as well as post American occupation. We do not want to be in the situation where our choices are either to be with Bush or go with Osama (different ends of the same stick). We reject both equally and deserve better class of people to represent us.

Re: Christians persecuted in Iraq by Muslim extremists

Found an interesting read from the NYtimes about Seyyed Al Sistani:

Re: Christians persecuted in Iraq by Muslim extremists

Well that is ****ed up. Who the hell kidnaps a doctor that is helping people?

But Iraq is being controlled by US forces??? u r telling me that Americans in Iraq have failed ( after killing almost a million Iraqies), and now situation is in hand of extremists elements who kill for fun?

Re: Christians persecuted in Iraq by Muslim extremists

Everybody knows that law and order situation is not gud. many lacs ppl have been killed after the invasion of USA.

what is the point here to discuss a murder of a christian ?

The point is that this is just another example of your desire to cleanse Iraq of its ancient Christian minority and make Iraq 100% Sunni.

Re: Christians persecuted in Iraq by Muslim extremists

LMAO!! Condemning Muslims, yet not condemning India. Well done on being a racist *****.
