Ok, errrmmm, what would you like?

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Oh man I loved Swiss and Belgian chocolate till my recent trip to Barcelona. Now I must say Spanish chocolate is amazing and by far my favorite. At the chocolate cafe I went to, the chocolate was a cuisine all on it's own. The name of the place is Cacao Sampaka. Each bite was like a bite into heaven. They have different types of chocolates, those made with herbs and flowers, fruits, liquers, nuts, etc. They all have fresh ingredients in it, the chocolates made with herbs and flowers actually were made of real flowers and tasted and smelled like it too. I had one chocolate made with violet that had shredded violets on top! I bought two boxes as gifts and just wanna eat them. :(

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

sumo, i would eat them if i were u.

:D

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Belgian chocs are awesome....
Lindt (mmmm)
Green and blacks dark chocolate
Fererro Rocher
Nutella spread
Galaxy is my all time favourite, along with maltesers

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

There's no need for you to go to all that trouble, it is easier if you just post me my share, thanks.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Suspicious now, I had some chocs made with herbs and flowers etc at a posh hotel once, they were quite disgusting…

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Thank you! Thank you!!!

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

What do you have against dark chocolate RH? :emmy: I think it’s lovely :snooty:

I’m going to find out where you live, and force feed you Lindt 85% dark chocolate :hehe:

Sumorani - sounds like you had a good trip! And i agree.. Cacao Sampaka is divine… it’s the real stuff… not the sugary crap we get over here :hinna:

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

^my dad likes that one:cb:

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

I have a new found love for edible fresh flowers. I went to a restaurant in Barcelona, Comerc 24 and had fresh flower soup. It was soo good! The bowl just had colorful fresh flowers in it and then they poured boiling broth in it and covered it for two minutes. It tasted very good. I’m gonna write my Barcelona experiences in the travel section. It was such a fun trip.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

haha yeh I really want to but then my sister would probably end up fighting with me.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Yeh definitely is. Going there was a great experience. I just wish we had taken a lot more pics even in the cafe; it’s so cute. Yeh their chocolate is not the sugary/sweet type including the drinking chocolate. Though I’ve gotta say after having some of the drinking chocolate I asked the waitress to get me hot milk cuz it was just too rich for me unfortunately I’m used to the American styled hot chocolate with cocoa powder and way more milk.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Personally, Pakistani chocolate rates at the bottom of my list. All I could taste was motor oil and dead mosquitoes...and it sticks to your palette like a wad of gum on a shoe!

I am partial to my British chocolate like Galaxy but nobody has mentioned Milky Bar and Milky way or the ultimate chocolate..CADBURYS FLAKE! (Remember the song..."OOOOnly the crum----blist..flak---iest chocolate....taste like chocolate never tasted before!")

The closest I have come to half way decent chocolate in America is Dove (no, not the bar of soap..though soap is very comparable to Hershey chocolate) and even Doves dark chocolate tastes nice.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

If you promise to eat what I post you I would be very happy to send you some. :D

P.s in order to counteract the dark chocolate I sometimes eat Milkybar's.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

wildhalcyon, i agree, dove is lovely! it comes in these little bite-sized packets of four... mmmm... melt in your mouth awesomeness!

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

That stuff is the bitterest thing imaginable, yuck, yuck, and YUCK again. I wonder if real people really like it, or it was created to fool people into thinking it was chocolate heaven. No, don’t like, would rather eat instant coffee granules, neat.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

isn't dove a copy of Galaxy? I thought it was a rip off of galaxy when i saw it at a local asian store...now flake ROCKS. Yum, but then so does ripple, and minstrels, and cadbury's buttons..yumm...even mint aero's nice sometimes..

american's dont know a thing about chocolates, their 'candy' tastes like plastic.
