Let's keep the discussion focused on matam/shias slashing themselves rather than our "forefathers" and "yazid." You wouldn't want me to get into your lineage... you know the transition that your forefathers had from God knows WHAT to so called "syeds."
Do you know the history of Matam? Who started it? Who brought it to the barbaric and satanic point where it is today? End your fixation and complex with yazid and look at your self, your background and if it was just a historical coincidence that Abdullah bin Sabah is playing you guys like fools.

No 'poor' shia dies from maatam, or from zanjeer zani. Rather, its ignorant folks more like yourself who single handedly reflect badly on Islam, which much more than any maatam procession could do. Yeah right, if you say so pal. Abdullah bin Sabah created the shia sect... he was the first one to worship Ali, declare him God and the tradition of imam worship continues till this day in shiaism. I wonder where the inspiration came from?

We don’t have a problem with Shia. We have a problem with Shia calling themselves muslims! If you don’t follow the basics of Islam - Please don’t call yourself Muslim and give a bad name to the religion. Islam never authorizes these acts where you can torture yourself or anyone else.
So how does Maatam remove the mask from yazid? I mean he killed Imam Hussain, now you guys are torturing yourself? I see something common between the two acts, Yazid is the one who TORTURED Imam Hussan so basically ANYONE who performs the act of TORTURE is Yazid. So now let’s look at what Shias do. They use all these different means to “Torture” themselves. So to anyone with just a little common sense, it is way too obvious that Shias are actually following the footsteps of Yazid.
Now please don’t tell me that during matam when Shias are beating the crap out of themselves it is not hurting themselves.
I hope Muslims around the world will declare SHIA as a seperate religion like Qadiyani so we don’t have to debate on this.
And we can discuss the issue of suicide bombers too if you really wish or you can even start another thread.

Did our Majalis/ procession physically hurt any innocent person around the globe if

Did the Prophet, Hazrat Ali and his family ever performed Matam? No.
Which Islamic AUTHORITY other than Allah and Prophet Mohammad authorized this ritual for shias?
Or did some imam wake up some morning and said, “oh wait, since we couldn’t save Imam Hussain and Hassan and we watched while they were killed, lets pay them back by beating ourselves.” What a regretful way to pay respect. Allah is making shias punish themselves at their own hands here and I can’t even imagine what will happen in hereafter.

First of all this is not your case and you have no right to open and close it. Every year in Muharram we observe stuff according to our fiqah I still don’t know why Br/Sr ahyal e sunnat wajamat has issues.
Muharram 10th 61 Hijrah happened after the Wafat and Shadat of Prophet/Hazrat Ali & Bibi Fatema Hazara so logically it was not possible for them to observe Shadat e Imam e Hussain.
