i remember being in 5th grade (10years old) and our science teacher telling us very proudly that "some teachers like to separate boys and girls for this unit, but i don't think there's any reason for that." and then we proceeded to watch various films that made us all squirm and sink lower into our chairs.
My brother studied in beaconhouse but he studied computer so I dont know. But I did not study in Pakistan. I dont know how they teach there. We had some nice teachers here. No, they never asked us to study anything on our own. They explained each and every single part and as many times as the girls asked :D
well i have to say that when I attended "sex-ed" classes, everyone was NOT turned on and bothered, rather they were educated and understanding of the responsibilities that come with sexual relations and scared of the possibilities of STDs and AIDS, teenage pregnancy etc. Perhaps maturity levels are a factor here.
Okay shweet, I didnt know. I thought you were also in US as most of the members here. That's why I was surprised when you said teachers wouldnt explain. Well, makes sense. I have no idea about their style of teaching there.
Agreed. And I think ‘age’ does not define the maturity level. Although, the students maybe old enough but their hormons need some control so that they couldnt learn what is needed to be learned instead of… you know, hehe…
hmm i was here when i was much younger (before schooling) then my parents decided they had to keep their kids in pak to get them cultured (haha big joke), did matric and moved to Karachi and spent 1st yr of college (11th grade) messin around and eating slims and bunking classes...then moved to US...
took my sex-ed class in college....bunked the one in high school becuz the paki girl jo mujh se chipakk ker bathti thi had lice in her hair aaaaaaaaaaaaaah! i couldnt be rude to her so i just never went there hehe....
in my sex-ed college level class we still had a buncha big guys sitting in the back giggling away phshhhhhhhhh
Insan, GOOD for YOU! seeking knowledge! anyway, fasting also is suspended, I think its because its generally thought that during this time of losing blood, it would be harmful to forego nourishment. Fasting is supposed to be for those in good and strong health...
