I think what people are saying is that Syeds, Jatts, Arains, Butts, Gujjars or whatever... None of them are better than the other. They're all the same.

Most people do like to trace their lineage - it's part of their "history". They like to say, my forefathers did so and so and take pride in what happened in the past. Sadly enough, these same people do not point to instances of tyranny or moral wrongness in their geneological history - but that's just human nature.
Personally, there's nothing wrong in having a sense of pride in one's history, BUT:
1) You cannot take credit or impute the actions of the forefathers on yourself - any good deeds or positive contribution belong to the person whose actions it was. Any credit for whatever the actions are, belong to that person and not the current generation.
2) You cannot claim a superior social position relative to others because of who your forefathers are - see reason above. You must earn your own respect for your actions, which reflect upon you and not your "lineage". And quite frankly no one is a social superior relative to another - all people are equal, it is their personal actions that are unequal.

Kazmi and Moosvi are the same. Same with Jafri and Sadiq. there's no such thing as an Askari sayyed.

I am a Choudhry born and raised in the U.S and she is a Syed born in Pakistan and raised in the U.K. She's afraid to tell her parents about me because they look at people's castes. Is a Choudhry as high as a Syed when it comes to this?

Anyway what the hell man. Hum kab say sayyed hain yaar, maybe our aba o ajdad, but we're bad people. It makes no difference, Rasoolallah's (saw) blood doesn't run in our veins, we aren't masoom, who gives a damn.
I doubt her parents will refuse if you're not a sayyed, if you're a good guy, it shouldn't matter lol.
